CHASTAIN READY FOR FINALE

HOMESTEAD, Fla. – The Xfinity Series season will end Saturday at Homestead-Miami Speedway, a track Ross Chastain knows well.

Saturday’s Ford EcoBoost 300 will be Chastain’s seventh race at the 1.5-mile track. He has raced in two Xfinity races and four Camping World Truck Series events at Homestead, and his record includes two top-10 runs in trucks.

“I really like Homestead,” Chastain said. “The track suits my style. It’s really fast, but it’s a driver’s track, too, because there are so many grooves you can pick from. It’s a challenge.”

Chastain has had a good season driving for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller. He has scored 17 top-20 finishes. He’ll drive the Florida Watermelon Association Chevrolet Saturday.

The Xfinity Series champion will be determined in Saturday’s race.

Practice is scheduled at 2 and 5 p.m. (ET) Friday, with qualifying set for 11:15 a.m. Saturday. The race will get the green flag at 3:30 p.m.
