Illinois native Justin Allgaier, driver of the No. 7 BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevrolet, captured the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series championship in his 10th season driving for JR Motorsports after an eighth-place finish in the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. This marks Allgaier’s second NOAPS championship and the fifth championship in the last 13 years for JRM, the company co-owned by NASCAR Hall of Famers Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Rick Hendrick and Kelley Earnhardt Miller.
FIFTH TITLE FOR JRM: JR Motorsports’ fifth NOAPS championship in 13 years comes in its 21st full-time season in the series. Chase Elliott brought home JRM’s first NOAPS title in 2014, with William Byron scoring the team’s second in 2017. Tyler Reddick earned the organization’s third championship in 2018 before Allgaier took top honors in 2024 and again in 2026. The company began full-time competition in the NOAPS in 2006 (it entered one race in 2005), and has amassed 122 victories to date, including 17 wins among Allgaier, Carson Kvapil, Sammy Smith, Connor Zilisch, Kyle Larson, Ross Chastain, and Shane van Gisbergen during the 2026 season.
OWNER’S CHAMPIONS: In addition to clinching the NOAPS championship, the No. 7 team brought home the NOAPS owner’s title with listed car owner Kelley Earnhardt Miller. While JRM has five driver championship titles, this marks the second owner’s championship for the organization in NOAPS competition.
LEADING LADY: Allgaier’s championship marks the second NOAPS title for Earnhardt Miller as the listed car owner of JRM’s No. 7 Chevrolet. Earnhardt Miller is the second female car owner to claim a title in NOAPS history. Three of JRM’s previous titles were all won by drivers of the No. 9 Chevrolet, of which NASCAR Hall of Famer Rick Hendrick is the listed owner.
TALE OF THE TAPE: Allgaier secured his second NOAPS championship on the strength of six wins (Phoenix Raceway, Darlington Raceway, Martinsville Speedway, Nashville Superspeedway, Pocono Raceway and Atlanta Motor Speedway), 19 top fives, 24 top 10s, and more than 803 total laps led.
TWICE AS NICE FOR BRANDT: JR Motorsports cornerstone partner Rick Brandt and BRANDT Professional Agriculture earned their second NOAPS title with Allgaier’s championship. BRANDT, headquartered in Springfield, Ill., and one of the fastest-growing family-owned companies in the United States, has been involved in NASCAR team sponsorship since they joined forces with Allgaier in 2011.
BRING IN THE CLOSER: Allgaier and the No. 7 team closed out the NOAPS Chase in strong fashion, scoring six top-fives over the final seven races and erasing a 29-point deficit following the conclusion of Charlotte to reclaim the point lead and secure the championship.
WINNINGEST JRM DRIVER: Allgaier continued to add victories to his career-best mark for JRM in 2026, winning six times to increase his total number with the team to 28 and 34 overall.
LUCKY NO. 7: Allgaier’s second NOAPS title is also the second for car No. 7 in the NOAPS, following his triumph in 2024. JRM first competed with Danica Patrick in the No. 7 in 2010, and since, a total of 14 drivers have taken the wheel to amass a combined 37 wins (31 by Allgaier and Regan Smith with five).
MOVING ON UP: Allgaier’s six victories on the season moved the veteran driver into sole possession of sixth on the NOAPS all-time wins list.
EXPERIENCE WINS OUT: At 40, Justin Allgaier becomes the oldest NOAPS champion in series history, surpassing Jeff Green, the 2000 titlist, for that distinction.
A FIRST FOR OVERSTREET: Allgaier’s second NOAPS title marks the first for crew chief Andrew Overstreet. Overstreet, the North Carolina native, earns his first championship in just his second full-time season as a NOAPS crew chief. Last year, Overstreet served as the signal caller for JRM teammate Carson Kvapil. 2026 saw Overstreet lead Allgaier to career-highs in wins (six) and top-fives (19/20) en route to the championship.
ILLINI CREW: This season marks the second time in which Illinois natives Allgaier and primary sponsor Rick Brandt (BRANDT Professional Agriculture) have brought home the NOAPS title. BRANDT Professional Agriculture is based in Illinois as well.
CHAMPIONS DRIVE CHEVY: Allgaier’s championship in the No. 7 BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevrolet marks the 24th time a Chevrolet has won the NOAPS championship. The Bowtie brand also clinched the Bill France Performance Cup in the NOAPS this year, giving the manufacturer the honors for the 28thtime, more than any other manufacturer.
HENDRICK POWERS CHAMPIONS: This will be the 28th NASCAR championship and sixth NOAPS championship for Hendrick Motorsports engines, which supplies the powerplants for all JR Motorsports teams. Hendrick Motorsports engines won its first NOAPS championship in 2003 with Brian Vickers. Elliott’s 2014 title, Byron’s 2017 title and Reddick’s 2018 title were also powered by Hendrick Motorsports engines, as was Allgaier’s in 2024, and now has more than 300 victories in total.
