I never even saw myself running a Cup race until I got a call a few months ago to do Talladega. It's just unreal and I don't know how to put it. I don't know how to feel.”

DANIEL SUAREZ, No. 41 Haas Automation Ford Mustang – “I don’t know. I haven’t seen the replay. I don’t really know what happened, I just know a few cars wrecked ahead of me. I was trying to slow down and I bumped the 22 and someone bumped me from behind and we were starting to get it back straight and somebody spun me out and the track bar broke. My car was actually fine. I thought we were going to continue, but unfortunately the track bar broke and it’s something we can’t fix.”

"That was a much more wild race than what we saw when we were at Daytona in February. It was great to start off the day by capturing our second-consecutive pole award this year here. That's a huge testament to everything everyone at RCR and ECR is doing back at the shop. We had an up and down day, spinning during the middle of Stage 2 and falling a lap down to getting that lap back and contending for the win."

Austin Cindric rallied back from early damage to score a fifth-place finish in the Circle K Firecracker 250 Powered by Coca-Cola Friday evening at Daytona International Speedway. The driver of the Pirtek Ford racked up his 13th top-five finish and his 26th top-10 finish in 50 career NASCAR Xfinity Series races. Cindric remains fourth in in the NASCAR Xfinity Series driver point standings, 119 points behind leader Tyler Reddick and 38 points behind third place driver Cole Custer.

Christopher Bell was the highest-finishing Supra driver, as he finished fourth for his 10th top-five finish of the season.

CHASE BRISCOE, No. 98 Ford Performance Mustang – “I feel fine. I haven’t seen the video, but it honestly didn’t feel like that big of a hit. NASCAR is doing their part and Stewart-Haas builds really safe race cars, so it’s just unfortunate. I was honestly having a blast out there. I felt like I could make moves and drive through the field fairly easy and thought we were gonna have a really good night, but just got caught up in somebody else’s mess. That’s part of this place. Every time you come here you know that’s gonna happen and we were just on the bad end of it tonight.”

Qualifying for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENSC) race at Daytona International Speedway was cancelled due to inclement weather at the 2.5 mile track.

He’s a champion in the sport and has been around a long time and he has seen things and been a part of a lot of things as well."

Today’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series qualifying session was cancelled due to weather, meaning Joey Logano, driver of the No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Ford Mustang will start on the pole for tomorrow night’s scheduled Coke Zero Sugar 400. Logano addressed the media about starting up front.

MICHAEL MCDOWELL, No. 34 Long John Silver’s Ford Mustang – HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS RACE? “They say it’s anybody’s ballgame, but it’s really the same winners a lot here. We’ve run well and I think that’s the thing I look forward to the most is Daytona is an opportunity race for a lot of people and we know that for sure, but it’s still the same 10 guys up there at the end typically."
