As a result of scheduling conflicts, and the lack of available dates to race, Matt Poole's race at Hickory Motor Speedway, which was originally scheduled for August 31st, has been re-scheduled for Saturday, October 12th, at Caraway Speedway, near Asheboro, North Carolina. Matt will be in the Lafferty Motorsports Street Stock, competing in the "Carolina Big Ten Street Stock Series"

Thanks to the support of ToyotaCare and American Ethanol, Wallace will be making his 900th NASCAR start at Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday in the Dollar General 300. Joining the "900 Club", Wallace will be amongst an elite group of drivers including Richard Petty, Ricky Rudd, Terry Labonte, Mark Martin, Darrell Waltrip, Bobby Labonte, Jeff Burton, Dale Earnhardt, and Dale Jarrett.

Martin and the crew of the no.44 U.S. Forensic Toyota Camry team had high hopes returning to Richmond International Raceway. However, luck was not on their side. An ill handling car from the start of the race resulted in a disappointing 30th place finish for Martin and crew.

The NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) will make its second and final trip of the 2013 season to Joliet, Ill. and Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday afternoon for the Dollar General 300 Powered by Coca-Cola. Nelson Piquet Jr. will make his second NNS start at Chicagoland this weekend; he finished 17th in his first NNS race there in July.

In the Spot Light: Juan Pablo Montoya, driver of the No. 42 Target Chevrolet SS, was honored by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C. last week. The 26th annual Hispanic Heritage Awards took place at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and was a ceremony to celebrate Hispanic cultural pride, contributions and accomplishments.

Last weekend at RIR, Harvick and the No. 29 Budweiser team earned an 11th-place finish after a late-race caution ruined their strategy for victory.

Biffle has 10 Sprint Cup career starts at Chicago, earning one top-five and one top-10 finish.

Elliott Sadler and the No. 11 OneMain Financial team return to Chicagoland Speedway this weekend for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Dollar General 300 presented by Coca-Cola. Sadler heads to the 1.5-mile track with eight Nationwide Series starts, including a win from 2012, two top-five and four top-10 finishes. Sadler also brings experience from the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with 10 starts and one top-10 finish.

Johanna Long and the No. 70 Foretravel Motorcoach Chevrolet team head to Chicagoland Speedway for the second time this NASCAR Nationwide Series season for the Dollar General 300. The ML Motorsports team will bring back chassis number 61 which was last used in Indianapolis in July.

With only eight races remaining in the Nationwide Series season, it’s time for Mike Wallace to take another shot at success at Chicagoland Speedway.
