The previous Memorial Day weekend was a time for Americans to reflect on those who have served in our country's Armed Forces in the past as well as those men and women who are defending our quality of life in the present.

I'm just at a loss for words over what happened at the end of the Coca Cola 600 on Sunday night. It was a great race throughout, but yet another controversy has sprung up that takes all the excitement out of the finish away.

The Coca Cola 600 is the longest race of the year. It was also the hottest race of the year so far. It is always a test of patience and endurance, not only for equipment but for the drivers as well.

A debate arose over the fact that a quick calculation would show that very little, if anything, would change in the final championship standings.

Pastrana-Waltrip Racing announced Tuesday afternoon that they will be going on a limited schedule after the upcoming race at Chicagoland Speedway.
