Tundra driver Daniel Suarez (second) was the first Toyota driver to the finish line in Friday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race at Dover International Speedway which was won by Tyler Riddick.

In the 46th annual FedEx 400, it was only fitting that the No. 11 FedEx Cares Toyota, piloted by Denny Hamlin, scored the pole position, with a speed of 160.121 mph and a time of 22.483 seconds.

Hamlin won the Coors Light Pole for the "FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, circling the Monster Mile at 160.121 mph. He stayed ahead of Martin Truex Jr. who will start second after a lap of 159.723 MPH.

Martin Truex Jr. earned his best start of the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup season today by qualifying his No. 78 Furniture Row/Visser Precision Chevy SS second quick for Sunday’s FedEx 400 at Dover International Speedway. Truex, Jr., currently ranked second in the point standings, ran a lap of 159.723 mph at the place he considers his home track, which is near where he grew up in Mayetta, NJ. He also scored his first career Cup victory at the ‘Monster Mile’.

The FedEx Cares is about the employees – the 70,000 hours that they spend volunteering all over the world to help people in need, so this is part of that program and Autism Speaks is on the car once again. So, I’m proud of the efforts of our race team. We came here and we tested and we felt pretty good about it and my team just brought me another fast Camry.”

MARTIN TRUEX, JR., NO. 78 FURNITURE ROW/VISSER PRECISION CHEVROLET SS – QUALIFIED 2ND - YOU WERE SO CLOSE TO GETTING THAT FIRST POLE OF THE YEAR “Yeah, we were close. For whatever reason, we thought we were in good shape, and then right there, I went to go for it and for some reason the car just got really tight laying it down in the corners."

GREG BIFFLE, No. 16 Safety-Kleen Ford Fusion (Qualified 7th) – “I am encouraged with where our lap times are. We are less than a tenth off the pole. A tenth of a second, if I had one more chance at it I think I could have done that. Momentum is kind of on our side."

In addition to trying to conquer the Monster Mile, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is doing his own version of the Dover double down by also trying to conquer autism.
