NASCAR Cup Series

Last year's race at Auto Club Speedway netted Annett a 19th-place finish that served as the first top-20 result and first lead-lap finish of his Cup Series career. He earned top-20 finishes in each of his six NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at the facility.

Straight out of Concord, Roush Fenway Racing returns to the Golden State for the third-leg of the West coast swing as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) heads to the Auto Club Speedway (ACS) in Fontana, Calif. a track that has seen a Roush Fenway Ford visit Victory Lane 15 times.

For Truex and his No. 78 Furniture Row/Denver Mattress Chevrolet it doesn’t seem to make a difference if the race is contested in the Eastern or Pacific time zones. Early success for the Mayetta, N.J. native has been achieved in both areas of the country.

"California is always a favorite stop for me because it's home. We have so many family and friends still in the area who were so good to us when we were just getting started. We try to see everybody when we go back and show our gratitude for everything they did for me and my family.

“It’s just a great place and it has quickly become a favorite racetrack for drivers,” Allmendinger said “There are so many different types of lines you can run. The racing side-by-side is always great. Last year, it was so fantastic to finish in the top-10 and it was cool to see the grandstands full.

Harvick started on the pole at Phoenix and won as expected, rolling to his fourth consecutive win at Phoenix International Raceway. He sits high atop the Sprint Cup points standings, 22 ahead of Joey Logano.
