The board of directors for Speedway Motorsports, Inc.(NYSE:TRK) has named O. Bruton Smith as executive chairman and Marcus G. Smith as chief executive officer in a realignment of executive officers, the board announced Wednesday.

The Dale Jr. Foundation (TDJF) announced today an extension to its Driven to Give program with a new initiative around Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s racing gloves. The program is called Driven to Give Gloves, and it will feature the auctioning of Earnhardt Jr.’s race-worn gloves each month during the 10-month NASCAR season.

Roush Fenway Racing driver Greg Biffle heads into the 2015 season on a quest to become the first driver to ever hoist the championship trophy in all three of NASCAR major series. Crew Chief Matt Puccia – who has led Biffle to Chase berths in each of the last three seasons - returns at the helm of the No. 16 team, along with several other familiar faces on the team. While the 2014 season brought an array of challenges for the team, Biffle and his crew fought to the end, earning their sixth Chase berth in the last seven years.

Richard Petty, a seven-time NASCAR champion, winner of over 200 career races and a 2010 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee, continues to collect numerous accolades for a legendary career behind the wheel of a stock car that began nearly 60 years ago. Petty will be inducted into the City of Hampton, Georgia’s Speedway Lane Hall of Fame in a ceremony at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26 at Downtown Hampton’s Depot Park, as the home city of Atlanta Motor Speedway honors the racing legend to kick off its four-day 2015 NASCAR weekend.

First Daytona Experience: "I mean really my first experience was not cool," AJ Allmendinger said. "That was in 2007, which was really the first time I was there for the Daytona 500. I think it was 65 cars trying to make the show. It was the first time I was there in a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car."

Cole Pearn's current status in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series couldn't be better. The 32-year-old Canadian native was named crew chief for Martin Truex Jr.'s No. 78 Furniture Row/Denver Mattress Chevrolet following the 2014 campaign.

The Wood Brothers of Stuart, Va., head to Daytona Beach, Fla., this week with their No.21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion, a new driver in Ryan Blaney, new crew chief in Jeremy Bullins and a new alliance with Team Penske.

Biffle has competed eight times in the Sprint Unlimited, earning three top-five and four top-10 finishes.
