The sheriff’s back in town and he goes by the name of Jimmie Johnson, ‘old five-time.’ Sheriff Johnson ran down the Beast of the Southeast to conquer the ‘D’ Shaped Oval and pocket his one million dollar paycheck for his third All-Star win.

Jimmie Johnson executed his strategy perfectly, winning the first 20-lap segment, hanging back for the next three, and catapulting to the lead at the beginning of the final 10-lap sprint to win Saturday’s NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

NASCAR SPRINT SHOWDOWN – Earnhardt Nation can breathe a sigh of relief. It may have just been a qualifying event for a non-points race, but Dale Earnhardt Jr. has won a race. And he won it in commanding fashion, leading all 40 laps of Saturday’s Sprint Showdown to transfer to the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race.
