Atlanta Recap: Denny Hamlin and the #11 FedEx team finished 11th Sunday at Atlanta Motor Speedway, allowing Hamlin to maintain his spot atop the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series championship standings. Starting fourth in the FedEx Ground Toyota for the 500-mile event, Hamlin dealt with a tight-handling car for much of the first two race stages.

Brad Keselowski: Keselowski fought off the effects of a stomach bug to win the race at Atlanta.

Brad Keselowski, Team Penske’s all-time winningest driver in the No. 2, recorded the first race win in the new Ford Mustang. Ford Performance recorded their third consecutive win at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 and 678th all-time win in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) competition.

As Brad Keselowski climbed out of his car, with an American flag in hand, Martin Truex Jr. stood adjacent to his car a few hundred yards away, with arms crossed. The source of his frustration was lap traffic.

"Our Fr8Auctions Ford had great speed all weekend. We struggled to find balance during the race with this new rules package, but I feel good about the direction we need to go and the speed that we showed. We will debrief back at the shop, take what we learned from today and use it to come back stronger in Vegas next weekend."

Ryan Newman overcame a pair of unlucky, mid-race cautions to drive his No. 6 Acorns Ford Mustang to a 13th-place finish Sunday afternoon at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

After starting on the front row for Sunday’s Fold of Honors Quik Trip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was steadily running in the top-10 before a pit-road speeding penalty forced him to settle with an 18th-place finish.

Paul Menard and the No. 21 Menards/Moen team recovered from damage in two separate incidents to finish 14th in Sunday’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
