Roush Fenway Racing came into Sunday night’s Coca-Cola 600 looking for its third consecutive NASCAR weekend sweep and despite dominating the event, fell just short of the accomplishment.

Just when it appeared that Ryan Newman was going to make one of his patented late-race charges, the U.S. Army driver found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time as he was a victim of a three-car accident.

Kevin Harvick took his No. 29 Budweiser/Armed Forces Chevrolet to victory lane in a wild finish of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Toyota driver Joey Logano (third) had the highest finishing Camry in Sunday night's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Perseverance, patience and the right pit strategy lifted Regan Smith from being two laps down to an eighth-place finish in Sunday night's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The diehard racing fans were treated well on Sunday with two, dramatic final lap passes. And when I say final lap, I actually mean passes coming out of the final turn.

The Coca-Cola 600 is a race where sometimes the strangest things can happen. That's what the great races in any series are. And it is no different in NASCAR's longest race.
