With thousands gathering in Charlotte for the race weekend and the quintessential start of summer, one particular fan is competing in a race of his own—one that involves only his sheer physical strength and the No. 17 Jeremiah Weed Ford Fusion.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series' will present their annual endurance contest this Sunday at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Roush Fenway Racing’s seven combined NASCAR wins in the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series to start 2011 is the team’s best total since starting the season with 11 wins in 2005.

During the pre-race show for the 52nd running of the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday, May 29, Charlotte Motor Speedway officials will salute the U.S. armed forces with a military demonstration, special awards, military band performances and a presentation with Medal of Honor recipients.
