NASCAR Cup Series

A North Carolina jury found former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle guilty of invading the privacy of his then-wife Nicole by secretly recording her in the bedroom and bathroom for two years, according to Charlotte-based television network WSOC-TV.

Domination and elimination was the story from Michigan on Sunday afternoon. Kevin Harvick dominated and eliminated everyone else from view. He dominated the opening stage. He overcame another pit road miscue that cost him five spots between stages, but he eliminated the danger to come back to claim that, too.

Harvick won Stages 1 and 2 and led 108 laps on his way to a dominant win in the Consumers Energy 400 at Michigan.

The Consumers Energy 400 featured varying strategies by the teams throughout the race. The crew chiefs used the stage breaks to make pit calls to get their driver out front. In the end, Kevin Harvick and his team made the right call to take home the checkered flag.

Kevin Harvick took his seventh Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series win of the season at Michigan International Speedway in Sunday's Consumers Energy 400, leading 108 laps and sweeping all three stages for the third time in 2018. The win gave Stewart-Haas Racing a season sweep at Michigan, as Clint Bowyer took the win there in June.

Though he had a fast race car, there were just too many obstacles to overcome for Martin Truex Jr. who finished 14th in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway.

Friday was a full day of action at Michigan International Speedway as the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series were both on the track. Denny Hamlin claimed the pole position for Sunday’s Consumers Energy 400.

Denny Hamlin led all rounds of qualifying Friday evening at Michigan International Speedway to score his 28th career Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series pole and his first at the 2-mile track.
