While Martin Truex Jr. didn't win the AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, his runner-up finish -- and points he amassed through the course of the day, via stage finishes -- secured him a spot in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4 race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

FORT WORTH, Texas (Nov. 5, 2017) – Trevor Bayne, driver of the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Fusion, finished in the 28th position in Sunday afternoon’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series event at Texas Motor Speedway as a result of an unscheduled pit stop due to damage sustained following a Lap 245 restart.

Kevin Harvick punched his Championship 4 ticket to Homestead-Miami Speedway after chasing down and passing Martin Truex Jr. in the waning laps to win the AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Ryan Blaney and the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Racing team scored their 14th top-10 finish of the season this afternoon at Texas Motor Speedway, finishing sixth with a last-lap pass of Joey Logano to claim the position.

FORT WORTH, Tx.(Nov. 6, 2017) – After running in the top-15 for a majority of the day, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. drove his Fastenal Ford to a 12th-place finish in Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race at Texas Motor Speedway.

CHASE ELLIOTT, NO. 24 HOOTERS CHEVROLET SS – Finished 8TH - YOU STARTED FROM THE BACK AND MADE IT TO THE FRONT, BUT AT THE END IT JUST KIND OF GOT AWAY FROM YOU, DIDN’T IT? “Yeah, we weren’t very good all day. Had some good restarts there and was able to get some decent track position at times, just never could hold it, so a frustrating afternoon.”

KEVIN HARVICK, No. 4 Mobil 1 Ford Fusion – VICTORY LANE INTERVIEW -- “This feels so good. We have been qualifying well here and racing well ever since I have been at Stewart-Haas Racing and just never got it to work out to go to victory lane. Today we had to earn it. To be able to pass the 78 car for the win is something that is huge for our confidence and team knowing we need to go to another 1.5 mile at Homestead to race for the championship. I am really proud of everyone on our Mobil 1 FOrd. This thing was a hot rod today.

Camry driver Martin Truex Jr. clinched a spot in the Championship 4 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday afternoon at Texas Motor Speedway with a second-place finish in the Cup Series race.

"We were able to grab a couple of Stage points at the end of Stage 1 and Stage 2 today, which I am really proud of. My crew chief, Justin Alexander, and the entire Dow Winter in PyeongChang team did a great job of keeping up with adjustments throughout the race.
