Jimmie Johnson and Jamie McMurray saw their day end in a violent wreck within seconds of each other just prior to the end of the second stage of the Axalta Pocono 400 at Pocono Raceway.

Ryan Blaney registered his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series win today, giving Ford a weekend sweep. The win is No. 99 for Wood Brothers Racing and its first since 2011 when Trevor Bayne won the Daytona 500.

Ryan Blaney passed former champion Kyle Busch with nine laps to go and held off former champion Kevin Harvick to capture his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race this afternoon on Pocono Raceway’s Tricky Triangle behind the wheel of the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion.

Trevor Bayne, driver of the No. 6 Ford EcoBoost Ford Fusion, finished 21st in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) event at Pocono Raceway on Sunday afternoon.

Austin Dillon Battles Adversity, Grinds Out a 13th-place Finish "Our No. 3 Dow Chevrolet was decent all day. The balance felt good for most of the race, but would tighten up in Turn 3 every now and then, so I had to really focus on my entry and exit in that corner. One of the biggest challenges was the heat. By lap 28, it felt like my A/C unit overheated or something and from there I had no air conditioning. I was alright during most of the race, but that red flag was just miserable."

Ryan Blaney passed Kyle Busch in the closing laps of the Axalta Pocono 400 and held off Kevin Harvick for the rest of those closing laps to win for the first time in his career at Pocono Raceway.

LONG POND, Pa. — Running his fastest lap of the day in the final round of Friday’s knockout qualifying, Kyle Busch won the pole position for Sunday’s Axalta presents the Pocono 400 at Pocono Raceway (3 p.m. ET on FS1) by a comfortable margin.

I definitely wanted to make the third round, and I think we had enough speed in it, and it’s just me of knowing that you pick up speed every run. I knew that going into it. We talked about it right after we climbed out from the first run, but you get so fixated on those XFINITY cars and those things are all about momentum, so I was just kind of waiting for that thing to turn and get down to the bottom and get it all pointed, and I didn’t muscle it up. I just kind of got lazy with it. "
