In 96 NSCS starts at Watkins Glen, Roush Fenway has recorded three wins, 23 top-five finishes, 40 top-10 finishes and has an average finish of 15.7. All three of Roush Fenway’s victories came with former driver Mark Martin.

Race No. 22: Watkins Glen... The second and final road course race of 2016 takes place in Watkins Glen, N.Y. this Sunday. For Michael Annett and his No. 46 St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Chevrolet team, the 2.45-mile course featuring right-hand turns presents a unique challenge, but one Annett has already encountered; the driver has participated in seven races at The Glen, with his best finish, 11th, coming in the 2012 NASCAR Xfinity Series race.

Keselowski finished second in the rain-delayed and rain-shortened Pennsylvania 400 at Pocono as Chris Buescher took the unlikely win. “It was an unlikely win by Buescher,” Keselowski said. “And I was the ‘unlikeliest,’ because no one ‘unliked’ it more than me, since I finished second.”

WATKINS GLEN TEST: Kasey Kahne and the No. 5 Great Clips Chevrolet SS team have already visited Watkins Glen once this season. The No. 5 team completed a two-day tire test on May 10 and 11. In Kahne’s 12 starts at the 2.45-mile road course, he recorded a best finish of 12th in 2014 after he led three laps.

Prior to the start of a new season, drivers are known to circle a few races that they feel are winnable with the utmost confidence.

ROOKIE RECORD: Tundra driver William Byron became the winningest rookie in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) history with his victory at Pocono Raceway on Saturday. Byron has won five races in his first full-time season in the NCWTS, breaking the record of four triumphs previously set by Kurt Busch in 2000. Along with Pocono, the 18-year-old has notched victories at Kansas Speedway (May 6), Texas Motor Speedway (June 10), Iowa Speedway (June 18) and Kentucky Speedway (July 7). Byron has won four-of-the-last-six races and registered seven top-10 finishes in 12 starts this season.

NASCAR driver Michael McDowell will celebrate his 200th career Sprint Cup Series start when he takes the green flag at Watkins Glen International this Sunday. The nine-year NASCAR veteran will pilot the No. 95 Thrivent Financial Chevrolet for Circle Sport-Leavine Family Racing in the Cheez-It 355.

Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) announced today that Schultz Heating & Cooling will be an associate sponsor on Regan Smith's Advanced Patient Care (APC) Chevrolet at Watkins Glen International. This will be Schultz Heating's first time as an associate sponsorship on the No.7 car.

Fast course: “Watkins Glen is a fast racetrack for a road course,” Allmendinger said. “There are a couple of passing opportunities. If you compare it to Sonoma (Raceway), tires are really important at Sonoma. Aerodynamics is probably not that important at Sonoma and that’s why there is beating and banging on each other there.
