When asked what stood out about today's race, Tony Stewart said, "How much fun I had in it." The driver of the No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet brought his car home 19th in his first Sprint Cup Series race since Homestead of last season.

After running consistently in the top-10 for a majority of Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Richmond International Raceway, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. felt a vibration on his Fifth Third Ford which forced him to pit under green flag conditions forcing him to settle with a 26th-place finish.

Greg Biffle drove his No. 16 Cheez-it Ford Fusion to a 14th-place finish in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Richmond International Speedway. Biffle started 19th due to rain washing out qualifying, but steadily advanced through the field and was poised to crack the top 10 until getting shuffled back on the final restarts.

A combination of patient driving, fast pit stops when it counted and spot-on car adjustments boosted Martin Truex Jr. to a ninth-place finish in Sunday’s Toyota Owners 400 Sprint Cup Series race at Richmond International Raceway.

Trevor Bayne, driver of the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Fusion, battled a loose-handling race car for much of the afternoon before recording a 17th-place finish in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) event at Richmond International Raceway on Sunday.

Ryan Blaney and the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion finished the Toyota Owners 400 in 28th place at Richmond International Raceway.

Six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, Jimmie Johnson, piloting the No. 48 Lowe’s Pro Services Chevrolet SS, led the way for Team Chevy at Richmond International Raceway (RIR) with a third-place finish in Round 9 of the 2016 season. Johnson paced the field for 44 circuits early in the 400-lap contest. Traditionally held under the lights, but now a schedule day event, the race had eight different leaders and 23 lead changes, the most at RIR since 2007. The third-place effort is Johnson’s 12th top 10 finish in 29 races at the .75–mile Virginia short track, and his fourth top 3 finish of the year.

I think this tire was perfect for what we’ve been asking for. We had multiple lanes that laid the rubber in the race track and we didn’t have all those marbles build-ups on the outside, where it really limited your opportunities up high. It was fun.

“I needed to find a different lane. Every lane I found didn’t work. At the end, it started to and I felt like maybe a couple of more restarts and good pit-stops we could have track positioned ourselves to be closer to the front and maybe squeak out a top-five at the end.

Carl Edwards used the chrome bumper on the final lap to score the victory at Richmond. The driver of the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota led 151 of the 400 laps and bumped teammate Kyle Busch out of the way exiting turn 4 to win the Toyota Owners 400.
