Chase Briscoe and Joey Logano paid a visit to the Atlanta Motor Speedway infield media center before today’s qualifying session. Both drivers talked about the challenges facing them this weekend and how tomorrow night’s race will differ from the spring.

Harrison Burton and the No. 21 DEX Imaging team are setting up for a superspeedway-style race this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

On the brink of another tripleheader race weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) and NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) is set to take on the 1.54-mile Atlanta Motor Speedway, while the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) returns to the 2.258-mile, 13-turn Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Quoting Erik Jones: “Atlanta has been good to us ever since they reconfigured the track. We’ve had three strong performances in a row, so I am always looking forward to getting back there."

Preece and the No. 41 team started 24th and soldiered to a 28th-place finish after losing a cylinder in the first 30 laps. Preece is hoping for a better result this weekend at the 1.54-mile oval.

Almirola has a solid record at superspeedways with two wins, six top-fives, 12 top-10s and 84 laps led. In June 2020, he scored his eighth-consecutive top-10 at Talladega to tie the track record for most consecutive top-10s – a mark first set by Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr., from April 2001 to October 2004.
