The first half of the NASCAR Cup Series season comes to a close this weekend as Sonoma Raceway hosts the 16th points race of the 2022 campaign. RFK has visited victory lane three times at the West coast road course with two wins in the Cup Series.

Harrison Burton and the No. 21 DEX Imaging team are hoping their second road-course race of the season, this weekend at Sonoma Raceway, turns out as well or better than their one, on March 27 at Circuit of the Americas.

Buescher makes his sixth Cup start at Sonoma this weekend. He finished 12th in 2018, his best finish there to date, and ran 16th last season.

This weekend’s schedule in Sonoma features a practice session Saturday afternoon, followed by qualifying. Two-round qualifying, with the top-five fastest cars in each group, will advance to the final round to set the lineup for Sunday’s 218-mile race.

As the NASCAR Cup Series is heading into its 16th consecutive weekend of racing, competitors are headed west to Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway for Sunday’s Toyota/Save Mart 350k.
