AJ Allmendinger has earned one top 10 and has an average finish of 23.1 across eight starts in the 2022 season

A NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) and NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) doubleheader is on tap for the upcoming holiday weekend, with the series’ stars taking on the longest track in NASCAR: the 14-turn, 4.048-mile road course circuit of Road America.

Joey Hand, driver of the No. 15 Ford Pro Ford Mustang for Rick Ware Racing, will be making his third start of the NASCAR Cup Series season this weekend at Road America. Hand spoke about Sunday’s road course race with members of the media earlier today.

Kyle Larson, driver of the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, on pulling double duty at Road America: "There are some big differences between the Cup and Xfinity cars, like braking points and sequential shifting in the Cup car versus an H-pattern in the Xfinity car. But getting more track time is worth it while getting an additional race with Kevin (Meendering) calling the shots will help our communication."

Harrison Burton and the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane team will spend the upcoming weekend at NASCAR’s new Independence Day weekend venue – Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisc.

The NASCAR Cup Series is coming to Road America and Pick ‘n Save has green flagged a mini-wellness pop up event on Friday, July 1, 2022, from 2:30 to 6:30 PM Central at 1317 N 25th Street, Sheboygan.

The NASCAR Cup Series heads north to Wisconsin for its third road course race of the season, and just second-trip ever to Road America at the longest course on the circuit.

Harvick, driver of the No. 4 Busch Light Apple Ford Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing, has made a total of 51 NASCAR Cup Series starts on road courses.

After 17 races this season, Almirola is the only driver in the NASCAR Cup Series without a DNF (Did Not Finish). He has completed all but five laps of the 4,650 run this year – a 99.9 percent completion rate.
