DENNY HAMLIN, No. 11 FedEx Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing - Qualifying Position: 4th - What do you expect from Sunday’s race? “Cars will be closer together and who knows how passing is going to be. It looked like it was a little tough in practice, but certainly we’re running a lot of on-throttle time. We’ll just sort of see how the race plays out and then we’ll know better for the second race when we come back.”

KURT BUSCH, NO. 1 MONSTER ENERGY CAMARO ZL1 – Qualified 7th YOU WERE THE TOP QUALIFYING CHEVY. HOW DO YOU FEEL? “I was happy we backed up our lap from yesterday over to today. We’ve been a little off on qualifying and it was nice to build that consistency of the qualifying setups."

JOEY LOGANO, No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Ford Mustang: QUALIFIED 1st “The car went where I told it to go, that was good. We will see. The car has speed in it, that is a good thing. Hopefully it drivers good in the draft. It was pretty good in practice yesterday so I think we will be alright. Getting the pole is really cool.”

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE AIR WAS ON THE CARS HERE AT MICHIGAN IN THE PRACTICE? “By itself, the car ran comfortable and ran really good speed. In the draft, whether everybody is struggling with it or for us on the No. 1 car and the 42, we both felt like our drafting ability was compromised a bit.”

Erik Jones, No. 20 Craftsman/Sport Clips Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing - What were you able to learn in the first practice session this afternoon? “We didn’t really know what to expect as far as how the cars were going to drive, how much throttle we were going to carry in traffic and kind of how things were going to go."

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT OUT OF THE CAR THIS WEEKEND? “Yeah, I think in the past the rules were so different here that not much is going to apply. Just from the first practice we just had, with the amount of throttle you run, it’s a much different experience. There are two short practices today to work through a long list of ideas. So, we are plugging along but it’s going to be a wild race. The cars will be close together, really packed, a lot of passing and a lot of side-by-side.”

Kyle Busch, No. 18 M&M’s Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing - Why were the changes made to the crew chiefs at Kyle Busch Motorsports? “Obviously there’s kind of been some struggles with result and success and stuff like that with our two full-time teams. I’m never happy with just being mediocre and not being able to go out there and have our guys perform and do a good job."

DANIEL SUAREZ, No. 41 Haas Automation Demo Day Ford Mustang: HOW DO YOU TRANSLATE YOUR GOOD PRACTICES INTO GOOD RACES? “I feel like we have been fast in practice. Our cars have been very fast. The problem that we have had in the last month is that we haven’t been able to race that way. We have fast cars, there is no doubt, we just have to be able to transfer that into the race and that means having a good car for traffic and having a good car in the draft and all those different situations."

RYAN PREECE, NO. 47 KROGER CAMARO ZL1 Media Breakout Session Highlights: HOW DID YOU FEEL AFTER THAT LAST ROUND OF PRACTICE? “I think we are going to start working on handling a little bit for the next run because being wide open in the throttle is going to be key I think to being fast."

CLINT BOWYER, No. 14 Haas Automation/ITsavvy Ford Mustang -- WERE YOU AT THE FORD DINNER LAST NIGHT? “Yeah, I think we all were, as we should have been. What a treat. There are certain things in life, and I guess it all depends on how you grew up but there are certain things that just hit you. Those surreal moments."
