Tyler Reddick came out on top in the PowerShares QQQ 300 at Daytona International Speedway. In what became NASCAR's version of 'Survivor' with a new record of five overtimes, he battled his JR Motorsports No. 9 Chevrolet against a very determined Elliott Sadler for the win.

Got involved in someone else's mess early on and just tried to recover all day. We picked the right lanes late in the race and got up to the top-10, then the leaders wrecked and the next thing you know we are on the front row. I didn’t think we had a good enough car to lead there with all the damage but we could push really well. I focused on that and my Ford Mustang had a lot of power. Roush Fenway rookie driver Austin Cindric rolled off the grid 11th in Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) opener at Daytona International Speedway. Unfortunately, the young driver’s (NXS) Daytona debut came to an abrupt end after his No. 60 Pirtek Ford Mustang made contact with the outside wall on lap nine after getting caught in the middle of three-wide traffic. With the damage too extensive to repair on pit road the team was forced to settle for a 40th-place finish.

Beaver Motorsports today announced Rhino Rush Energy as the primary sponsor for the No. 50 Chevrolet Silverado of Travis Kvapil at Daytona International Speedway for the NextEra Energy Resources 250. This will be the 2003 Champion’s twelfth NCWTS start at the one-and-a-half-mile track.

RCR owns two Daytona 500 wins (Dale Earnhardt - 1998, Kevin Harvick - 2007), three Coke Zero 400 trophies (Earnhardt - 1990, 1993 and Harvick - 2010) and 14 qualifying races, including 10-consecutive victories with Earnhardt (1990 - 1999). In addition, RCR has earned the Advance Auto Parts Clash a total of eight times, with drivers Harvick (2009, 2010, 2013) and Earnhardt (1986, '88, '91, '93, and '95).

News and notes: The time has finally come. After countless hours of hard work and preparation, Spencer Boyd and his SS Greenlight Racing team are ready to set their sights on the World Center of Racing. The NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway will kick off Spencer Boyd’s first full time season in NASCAR.  He will also be competing for Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors in ‘the place where names are made.’ “I’m beyond excited to get down to Daytona,” says Boyd. “It honestly hasn’t been much of an off-season for us. The guys have been going non-stop and I’ve pretty much been at the shop everyday. Anything I can do to help Bobby and the guys prepare for the season, I’m there,” says Boyd. The work has been plenty for everyone, but come Saturday Boyd only has to worry about one thing, going fast for 300 miles.

Ryan Reed heads into the NXS season-opener at Daytona International Speedway as the defending race winner.  Reed has found his way to victory lane twice at the famed 2.5-mile Superspeedway.  Last season, Reed persevered through red flags and multiple on-track incidents to hold of seasoned Cup Series veterans and take home the win.  In 2015, Reed capture his first career NASCAR NXS s win at Daytona.
