On paper, it looked easy for the 24-year-old from Monterrey, Mexico. Suarez started fifth and led 123 of 200 laps on his way to victory. In reality, it wasn’t all smooth sailing for Suarez.

Recap: Ryan Blaney substituted for Joey Logano in the NASCAR XFINITY Series Drive Sober 200 at Dover International Speedway, finishing fourth in a race that was delayed until Sunday morning due to rain on Saturday. Joey Logano was scheduled to drive the No. 22 Fitzgerald Glider Kits Ford Mustang at Dover and practiced the car on Friday.

RYAN BLANEY – No. 22 Fitzgerald Ford Mustang – “It wasn’t quite what we wanted. We obviously want to finish better, but it wasn’t that bad all day. There was a point in the day where I thought we were decent early, and then kind of overadjusted and the track changed. The 19 was ridiculously fast. That was incredible, but we probably could have run second, but didn’t quite get going on the last restart and couldn’t quite be close enough.”

The two XFINITY practices on Friday in preparation for Saturday's race at Dover fought against the weather and although one session ended up going off without any issues, the second session was cut short due to rain.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and XFINITY Series head to Dover International Speedway this weekend while the Camping World Truck Series travels to Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Please check below for the complete schedule of events.

“The first Dover race was one of our roughest weekends of the year,” Preece said. “It’s tough to have to park that soon. Hopefully, we’ll be right on target Saturday and get a good finish. We’re thrilled to have the Meding’s Seafood and Iron Source folks along for the ride with us again.”

“I’ve put in a lot of laps around Dover in the last few years,” said Chastain, who will be racing for the sixth time at the one-mile track. “I feel like I know the track really well, and I know we’ll have a car that can get us into the top 15. I’m looking forward to challenging the track again.”

“Getting a handle on Dover takes a while,” Smithley said. “It’s really fast, and there’s no time to rest. You’re in the turns a long time. We’re looking to go back there with a good car and make some gains.”

Wallace will make his fifth career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Dover International Speedway on Saturday afternoon.
