The internet exploded this week when NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. posted a picture of his favorite sandwich – banana and Hellmann’s mayonnaise on bread. The post trended social media for 24 hours and cycled through numerous national news outlets, including ABC’s “Good Morning America”, NBC’s “TODAY”, and CNN’s “Morning Express with Robin Meade.”

JR Motorsports (JRM) and Dale’s Pale Ale, the first craft beer to be featured in a can, have announced a multi-year extension that will see the brand sponsor JRM’s No. 88 Chevrolet in three NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) races in 2016-17. The No. 88 Dale’s Pale Ale Chevrolet will make its season debut on Aug. 19 at Bristol Motor Speedway with Regan Smith returning to JRM to drive in the event.

It’s another round of introductions for Ryan Preece this weekend as the rookie will make his first career run at Texas Motor Speedway.

Although he remains relatively new to the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Ross Chastain is virtually a veteran driver at Texas Motor Speedway, site of Friday night’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 300, the sixth race of the season.

Texas Motor Speedway will be the next stop on Garrett Smithley’s Xfinity Series rookie tour. Smithley will race for the first time at TMS Friday night in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 Xfinity race.

The NASCAR XFINITY Series is well rested and ready to get back to racing, as the No. 43 J. Streicher team and Jeb Burton head to Texas this weekend for the third intermediate track on the schedule.

Wallace will make his third career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday night.

Dakoda will be making his fifth career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Texas Motor Speedway to go along with three previous starts in the Camping World Truck Series. Armstrong has a best XFINITY Series finish of 10th at the Fort Worth, Texas track which occurred during the 2014 season.
