HScott Motorsports with Chip Ganassi Road America Pre-Race Notes

Justin Marks will make his 13th career NASCAR XFINITY Series start and second for HScott Motorsports with Chip Ganassi (HSMCG), this weekend at Road America. Although this is only his second start at the 4.048-mile road course in an XFINITY Series car, Marks is no stranger to the facility. He finished sixth in the GT-class of an American Le Mans Series, now the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, race in 2006. Marks finished 15th for HSMCG at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course two weeks ago.

Ganassi Sound Garage to be featured on No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro at Road America

HScott Motorsports with Chip Ganassi (HSMCG) announced today that Ganassi Sound Garage will be featured on the No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro for the NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Road America on Saturday, Aug. 29 (3:00 p.m. EDT on NBC Sports Network). The No. 42 Ganassi Sound Garage Chevrolet Camaro will be driven by road course specialist Justin Marks in the final road course race on the 2015 XFINITY Series season schedule.

BUSCH’S MILESTONE WIN: Camry driver Kyle Busch recorded his 150th NASCAR national touring series victory with a win at Tennessee’s Bristol Motor Speedway in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) last Friday night. Busch has won 33 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) races, 73 NXS events and 44 triumphs in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) – including 129 wins in a Toyota – over 12 seasons. With his NXS victory at Bristol, Busch has won nine of his last 18 starts across all three NASCAR national touring series.

Ryan Reed – Road America Advance

Reed has competed at Road America in the NASCAR XFINITY Series just once, finishing 21st after starting 14th in 2014. In his first appearance, Reed ran just outside of the top 10 for most of the race but fell back after having to pit for fuel as the race was extended by a late caution.

Armstrong Hopes for Clear Weather, Smooth Sailing at Road America

Last week in Bristol, late race contact put a damper on the hopes for a good run for Dakoda Armstrong. This week, the No. 43 WinField team heads to Road America looking to end a tough month with a good finish. Last year, during his first start at the track, Armstrong had a promising day go sour when a rain assisted off-track excursion heavily damaged the WinField Ford. Historically, RPM has had strong runs at Road America in each of its three starts, before rain or accidents changed the course of their race.

Bubba Wallace – Road America Advance

The NASCAR XFINITY Series travels to 4.05-mile Road America this weekend for the third and final road course race of the 2015 schedule. Saturday’s race marks Bubba Wallace’s first start at the track.

Chris Buescher – Road America Advance

Roush Fenway Racing’s Chris Buescher makes his second NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Road America on Saturday. Last season, Buescher started ninth with a fast Ford Mustang, before rain and a pit road speeding penalty slowed him down, ultimately finishing 18th.

RCR Event Preview – Road America 180 Fired Up by Johnsonville

Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR XFINITY Series at Road America ... In 11 Series starts at the 14-turn road course, RCR has completed 565 laps of the 579 (97.6 percent) they have competed. The Welcome, N.C., organization visited Victory Lane last year with Brendan Gaughan, earning their first win at Road America. RCR has accumulated two top-five and three top-10 finishes, led nine laps and averages a starting position of 14.2 and finishing position of 14.8.

Elliott Sadler – Road America Advance

Elliott Sadler will make his fifth NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at the Road America this Saturday afternoon in Elkhart Lake, WI. In Sadler’s previous four starts at Road America, he’s recorded one top-five and three top-10 finishes. Last year at the 14-turn road course, Sadler started 11th and finished ninth.
