Jeff Gordon, who spent his formative years in Pittsboro, Indiana, will make his final start at his “hometown track” in Sunday’s Crown Royal presents the Jeff Kyle 400 at the Brickyard at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

J.J. Yeley/JGL Racing Indianapolis Preview

This Week's No. 28 JGL Racing Toyota at Indianapolis Motor Speedway: J.J. Yeley will pilot Chassis No. 235 in the Lilly Diabetes 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This will be the third time Yeley has raced this chassis this year. Yeley last raced this chassis back in May at Iowa Speedway where he was collected in an accident. The JGL Racing team has made the necessary repairs and its ready for its return to action.

HScott Motorsports with Chip Ganassi announced today a partnership with Dixie Chopper and Big Machine Records for the NASCAR XFINITY Series event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) on Saturday, July 25 at 3:30 p.m. EDT on NBC. Both companies will be on board the No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Kyle Larson.

BUSCH BATTLING BACK: Camry driver Kyle Busch recorded his third NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) victory in the last four races with a win at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday. After going a lap down early in the event, Busch battled back and led 96 laps (of 301) to take the checkered flag. With his victory, the Toyota driver now sits just 58 points shy of 30th place in the NSCS point standings, where he must reach to compete for the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship in seven more races. Busch missed the first 11 events of the NSCS season while recovery from injuries sustained in an accident during a NASCAR XFINTY Series (NXS) race in February and returned to competition in May.

RCR Chevrolets have also been atop the leaderboard for a total of 268 laps and, with the exception of one, each entry has been running at the finish of every Brickyard 400 since the inaugural race in 1994.

Almirola to Run Indianapolis XFINITY Race with New Sponsor

Aric Almirola will run the NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Indianapolis (Ind.) Motor Speedway this weekend for Biagi DenBeste Racing and their new partner, Sledgehammer, a brand of Treasury Wine Estates. He will compete in his first XFINITY race at Indianapolis when he pilots the No. 98 Ford at the famed 2.5-mile track.

Ryan Reed – Indianapolis Advance

Reed has made just one start in the NASCAR XFINITY Series at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS). In his 2014 rookie season, Reed finished 20th after starting 13th and suffering a mechanical issue near the end of the race.

Bubba Wallace – Indianapolis Advance

Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway marks Wallace’s first start at the 2.5-mile track.

Chris Buescher – Indianapolis Advance

Chris Buescher makes his second NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend. In his previous start, which came last season, Buescher started eighth and finished 11th.

Elliott Sadler – Indianapolis Motor Speedway Advance

Elliott Sadler will make his fourth NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) this Saturday afternoon. In 2012, the NXS moved locations from down the road at Lucas Oil Raceway to the big house at IMS. Sadler has raced in each NXS race at IMS.
