CAMRY CHASERS CONTEND: All three Toyota Camry drivers are in the top-10 in points and within 20 points of the leader as race two of the 'Contender' round of this year's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) championship playoff rolls into Charlotte -- Kyle Busch (second-place, -6 points), Denny Hamlin (fifth, -11) and Matt Kenseth (seventh, -17). After Charlotte, the series will head to the high banks of Alabama's Talladega Superspeedway before another four drivers will be eliminated from moving on to the third round of the championship playoffs.

James Carter Racing announced today that Unlimited Possibilities (UP) will serve as an associate marketing partner for Friday night’s Drive for the Cure 300 presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway.

"There is no doubt, racing in Charlotte always feels special. Most of the race shops are in area, so there is a lot of extra excitement with so many family and friends at the race. This weekend is also special because I'll be racing a pink Toyota in honor of breast cancer awareness in honor of my mom, and everyone who has battled the disease.

Roush Fenway Racing drivers Trevor Bayne, Chris Buescher and Ryan Reed are scheduled to visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame on Wednesday, October 8, as a lead in to the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) event at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway on October 10. The trio will answer fan questions, sign autographs and race simulators against members and guests of the HOF.

Trevor Bayne makes his seventh NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway on Friday evening. In six previous starts at the 1.5-mile oval, Bayne has recorded one top-five and four top-10 finishes.

Carlos Contreras, the first Hispanic-born NASCAR driver continues his bid towards 100 career National Series starts this Friday night at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway (CMS) in the running of the Drive for the Cure 300 presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.

BRINGING BACK THE TWO-CAR EFFORT: Team Penske will return to a two-car NASCAR Nationwide Series organization this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway, with Ryan Blaney driving the No. 12 Western Star Trucks Ford Mustang. Greg Erwin will return to the crew chief seat as part of the two-car effort. The duo worked together earlier this year at Kentucky, where they finished fifth driving a second NNS Mustang for Team Penske.

Ryan Reed will make his third NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at Charlotte Motor Speedway this Friday. In his previous two starts, Reed has crossed the finish line in 14th both times.

Chris Buescher will make his third NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at Charlotte Motor Speedway this Friday. In his previous two starts, Buescher’s best finish is ninth, which came earlier this season.

For the ninth time this season, Roush Fenway Racing’s Ryan Reed has a special guest riding along with him during Friday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The No. 16 American Diabetes Association Drive to Stop DiabetesSM presented by Lilly Diabetes Ford Mustang will carry the name of Karl Reynolds above the passenger side window.
