TriStar Motorsports and BWP Bats will team up to furnish a fifth entry for the Subway Firecracker 250 at Daytona International Speedway. Benny Gordon will be in the cockpit of the No. 91 Toyota Camry for his second NASCAR Nationwide Series career start at the 2.5-mile tri-oval.

David Starr and long time partner, Chasco Constructors, will join forces for the Subway Firecracker 250 at Daytona International Speedway. Sparks will fly as the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at DIS will be under the lights on Friday, July 4th.

For the first time this season, the NASCAR Nationwide Series returns to a track for the second time and it happens to be one of Eric McClure's favorite tracks. This weekend will mark McClure's 240th-career Nationwide Series start and his 17th at the 2.5-mile track. In 16 starts, the Virginia driver has led three laps and has completed 90.2% of the total laps attempted (1778). He has an average finish of 28.7 and has posted one top-10 finish.

James Buescher returns to Daytona International Speedway (DIS) for the second of two races this season. During the first outing, Buescher and his No. 99 team were running solidly in the top-five when Buescher received a pass-through penalty. Buescher has five previous NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at DIS. In those five starts he has recorded one win and three top-10 finishes, including a second-place finish last July.

Joey Logano had thought he was going to be back in the NASCAR Nationwide Series last weekend at Kentucky. But a change of plans put teammate Brad Keselowski in the car. Now, Logano is back in the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang at Daytona and is also scheduled to run at Indianapolis and Watkins Glen in the coming weeks.

NASCAR announced today that the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards – the annual culmination of Champion’s Week – will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, at Wynn Las Vegas. This is the sixth year that NASCAR has celebrated Champion’s Week in the city of Las Vegas, a tradition that has featured a bevy of A-list entertainers and fan-friendly activities involving the sport’s biggest stars.

Trevor Bayne makes his ninth NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at Daytona International Speedway on Friday evening. In eight previous starts at the 2.5-mile superspeedway, Bayne has recorded one top-five and three top-10 finishes.

Officials from Rick Ware Racing (RWR) announced today that Carlos Contreras, the first NASCAR Mexican-born driver will rejoin the team for Friday’s Subway Firecracker 250 from Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.
