NASCAR O'Reilly Series

In his sixth NASCAR Nationwide Series start of the 2013 season, 22-year-old Dakoda Armstrong and the No. 19 TriStar Motorsports / WinField Toyota Camry started the Nationwide Series finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway from the 34th position. Working with a new team and a new Crew Chief, Armstrong knew there may be some challenges to overcome during the 300-mile event.

Two champions, two organizations and two heralded rookies are sharing the South Beach spotlight tonight, at the NASCAR Nationwide and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Awards, held at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel’s Americana Ballroom.

Following his seventh place finish at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Parker Kligerman was informed that Kyle Busch Motorsports would be shutting down their one car program in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Speedway and the Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) No 54 Monster Energy team finished strong with a sixth-place qualifying position, 29 laps led and a third-place finish. While JGR and Busch executed a dominant season with 12 wins, 11 poles, 22 top-five and 25 top-10 finishes overall, the Homestead finish left them just short of a season Owner’s Championship, awarded to the No. 22 Penske Racing Ford, a close competitor of the No. 54 team all season.

The No. 32 team that competes in the NASCAR Nationwide Series has been penalized due to rule violations discovered during post-race inspection this past Saturday at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Blake Koch and the RAB Racing No. 99 CompassionRacing.com, GodSpeaks.com Toyota Camry had something to prove going into the NASCAR Nationwide Series season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Saturday, November 16. Koch started on the front row for the first time in his NASCAR career, and finished in the 11th position after restarting in the 21st position with five laps remaining.

Austin Dillon has been slowly and steadily climbing NASCAR’s ranks over the past four years. He isn’t being rushed or forced into anything; he’s progressing and moving forward at a constant, but rewarding rate.

Richard Childress Racing teammates finished 12th (Austin Dillon), 14th (Ty Dillon) and 32nd (Brian Scott).

Austin Dillon, driver of the No. 3 AdvoCare Chevrolet Camaro, claimed the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) championship with a ­­­12-place finish in the season-ending race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. His title, the first for Dillon and fourth for team owner Richard Childress, marks Chevrolet’s 17th Driver’s Championship since the inception of the series in 1982.
