Auto Club Speedway announced today that Verve Music recording artist Cody Karey will perform the National Anthem prior to the start of the Royal Purple 300 NNS race at Auto Club Speedway on Saturday, March 23.

NASCAR's Generation-6 Sprint Cup Series chassis received its first test on a 1.5-mile track last weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the car exhibited the promise that the industry was expecting, especially on the 1.5-mile ovals that are predominant on the series schedule.

NASCAR has reinstated driver Jeremy Clements upon the successful completion of stipulations following his indefinite suspension from NASCAR on Feb. 27 for violating the sanctioning body’s Code of Conduct policy. Clements will be on NASCAR probation until Sept. 13, 2013.

Jason White is ready to rumble. After experiencing a parts failure on his No. 00 Toyota Camry in last week's race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, he's anxious to return to form in Jeff Foxworthy's Grit Chips 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

After an exciting two weeks out west, Hal is all set to be headed to Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend to compete in Jeff Foxworthy's Grit Chips 300. The TriStar Motorsports crew of the No. 44 American Custom Yachts Toyota Camry is making final adjustments to the car to have it ready for Thursday's departure.

After handing the “keys” to Daryl Harr for the two races out West, Danny Efland will return to drive the familiar No. 4 Flex Seal Chevrolet at Bristol Motor Speedway. The car, chassis JDM 008, was raced by teammate Mike Wallace in a number of events last year, and has been recently renumbered and added to the No. 4 fleet.

Alex Bowman will pilot RAB Racing Chassis No. 44 in Saturday's Jeff Foxworthy's Grit Chips 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Bowman is comfortable in this chassis, having piloted it twice in the past, both at Phoenix International Raceway.

Vegas Recap... Piquet Jr. and the WORX team had a strong showing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, earning a hard fought 13th-place finish. After starting in the 11th spot, Piquet Jr. worked inside the top-15 most of the 200-lap event.

The track surface of Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway might be relatively new, but racing on it still brings back old memories for Josh Wise. The driver of the No. 35 MDS Transport Ford thinks back to his early-career short-track days whenever he races at the .533-mile oval and always looks forward to the dates at the venue on the Sprint Cup schedule.
