Since the last time NASCAR visited the Finger Lakes area of upstate New York there’s been some significant changes around the track. During the off-season the track completed the installation of new grandstands in several locations around the track.

“Chicago is another track I really enjoy going to during our summer swing. It’s a fun 1.5-mile speedway. It’s got a lot of character, so the racing always seems to be exciting. We get another shot to qualify for the Dash 4 Cash program this weekend, so that’s our goal. I want to be racing for that $100,000 bonus again in Indy next week.

This Sunday's STP 300 marks the first time Truex will step behind the wheel consecutive weeks in 2012. The 20-year-old Joe Gibbs Racing driver has two prior starts at the mile and half speedway. He boasts a strong average starting position of 6.5, and has never qualified outside the top 10.

Tundra driver Todd Bodine will make his 200th career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start on Saturday at Chicagoland Speedway. When Bodine takes the green flag at Chicagoland, he will become the first driver in NASCAR history to record 200 starts in each of NASCAR's three national touring series, and will have 766 combined starts, which places him 20th in the NASCAR record book.

This Week’s Hefty® Reynolds Wrap® Camry … Crew Chief Wes Ward has chosen chassis No. 12 out of the TriStar Motorsports stable for this weekend’s running of the STP 300 at Chicagoland Speedway.

In 21 previous Nationwide Series appearances at Chicagoland Speedway, Richard Childress Racing has three wins at the 1.5-mile track, with Kevin Harvick in 2007 and 2005 and Johnny Sauter in 2002.

Kenny Wallace will pilot RAB Racing with Brack Maggard chassis No. 42 in Sunday's NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Chicagoland Speedway. This Toyota Camry made its 2012 debut at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in March, where Kenny Wallace started 18th and finished 11th.
