Kurt Busch won the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race at Richmond International Raceway. The win marked the first victory for Kyle Busch Motorsports and team owner Kyle Busch in the NNS.

Michael Annett started the 250-lap NASCAR Nationwide Series event at Richmond International Raceway from the 19th position. Annett finished the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 as follows:

"Yeah, it was alright. We weren’t the best we have been here but we weren’t terrible. There were times in the race I felt we had the best car in parts of the run but couldn’t put the whole run together. Not a bad night."

With 27 laps to go, Brad Keselowski peeled down pit road, handing the lead over to Kurt Busch. Busch looked to have the win in his sights, before Denny Hamlin began to close in his rear view mirror.
