Tyler Reddick won Saturday's Homestead 300 and also captured his first NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship in the series season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.  This was Reddick's second win of the season and gave JR Motorsports its third championship title.

"We may have finished 10th, but this result doesn't show how fast our No. 2 Tunity Camaro was all weekend long. My team worked hard during both practice sessions to get our Chevrolet to where I could run the top lane, and I thought we were in a good spot for the race."

Following an outstanding rookie season, Tyler Reddick is now the NASCAR Xfinity Series champion. The driver of the No. 9 JR Motorsports Chevrolet capped off an extraordinary season in grand fashion – by capturing the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series championship with a stirring victory in Saturday’s Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Corning, Calif., native Tyler Reddick, rookie driver of the No. 9 BurgerFi/Nationwide Children’s Hospital Chevrolet for JR Motorsports, clinched the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series championship after winning the Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. This marks Reddick’s first national touring series championship and the third in five years for JR Motorsports, the company owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr. Reddick held off fellow Championship 4 contenders Christopher Bell, Cole Custer and Daniel Hemric in the final race to earn the title.

COLE CUSTER, No. 00 Haas Automation Ford Mustang -- CAN YOU JUST TALK ABOUT YOUR NIGHT TONIGHT? “Yeah, it is a little bittersweet because you win one and you lose one. It means a lot to our team to win the owners championship. When we started last year, it is unbelievable how far we have come and how hard everyone has worked. To get to this point now, I can’t thank everybody enough. We just came up a little short. It just didn’t play out there at the end for us.”

COLE CUSTER, No. 00 Haas Automation Ford Mustang -- WHAT HAPPENED IN THE LAST STAGE AND TOWARD THE END? “First off, congrats to Tyler. I’m happy for him. He could run the wall better than I could at the end there and we were so far back from our pit stop with their strategy that once I got to him it seemed like our tires kind of equalled out and then he started running the top and I couldn’t keep up with him. It is what it is. It was a solid day. We had a fast car, we just didn’t have it play out right at the end.”

Toyota driver and Championship 4 contender Christopher Bell finished 11th in Saturday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series season-finale race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, closing the season in fourth place in the driver standings.

HOMESTEAD, Fla - Cole Custer will have a chance to hold the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship trophy on Saturday afternoon if he does the same thing he did last year at Homestead at this very time. Which is just win. It might sound easy for Custer, but he is not overlooking this year’s race.

Cole Custer, driver of the No. 00 Haas Automation Ford Mustang, is the defending champion of the Ford EcoBoost 300. If he’s able to repeat that victory on Saturday, he’ll also be crowned NASCAR XFINITY Series champion. Custer spoke about his championship hopes during Media Day Thursday in Miami.
