For the third year in a row, the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown is set to open the Spring race weekend at Richmond International Raceway. The race, which typically features a dozen NASCAR drivers and celebrities battling on the ¾-mile track with some of the best local Late Model Stock Car drivers, will serve as a fundraiser for the Denny Hamlin Cystic Fibrosis Research Lab at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.

Michigan International Speedway is known for being at the forefront of enhancing the fan experience. In 2013, MIS will become the first track in NASCAR to offer free WiFi hotspots to fans.

Phoenix International Raceway President Bryan R. Sperber announced today Dollar General, together with AmeriGas, will be the title sponsor of the March 2, 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series race. The Dollar General 200 Fueled by AmeriGas is the second race of the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series season.

Dover International Speedway and Pocono Raceway are bringing race fans together to kick off the 2013 NASCAR season during the broadcast of the “Daytona 500” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, which will be shown on the 32-foot Sony High Definition screen at XFINITY Live! Philadelphia at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24.

The start of the NASCAR season is less than 20 days away and the Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway is ready to kick the season off by hosting an official Daytona 500 watch party in the Turn 2 Sports Bar and Restaurant.

Martinsville Speedway’s ticket office will be open on weekends beginning Saturday, Feb. 23, giving fans who work all week the opportunity to drop by the track and pick out the seats they would like for the Virginia 500 on April 7.

Several Sprint Cup stars were at the Darlington Raceway in Darlington, South Carolina as part of a Goodyear tire test for the new Gen-6 race car which will debut in the Sprint Unlimited this following Saturday on February 16th.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Trophy travels through Customs this week on its trek to the Canadian Motorsports Expo in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The championship trophy will be on display Friday through Sunday in the Michigan International Speedway display at the event.
