Families or friends looking to save money while enjoying quality time together can do just that this Labor Day weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series AdvoCare 500 on Sunday, Sept. 2 with the FANtastic Four Pack.

Driver introductions for the Sprint Cup races at Bristol Motor Speedway are unique in the sport – and for the upcoming IRWIN Tools Night Race Aug. 25, a couple of new twists have been added.

Before cars take to the track at Bristol Motor Speedway, race weekend kicks off with the 14th Annual Speedway Children’s Charities Golf Tournament presented by Baker’s Construction Services at Tri-Cities Golf Course on Aug. 20.

With only three races remaining before the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series arrives in Atlanta for the AdvoCare 500 Labor Day weekend, the battle for the final two wild-card positions in the Chase for the Sprint Cup was turned upside down on Sunday with Jeff Gordon’s win at Pocono.

As reported yesterday, a long time member of our Pocono Raceway family, a spectator has passed away following a lightning strike. According to Monroe County Coroner Robert Allen the name of the deceased is 41 year old Moosic, Pennsylvania resident Brian Zimmerman. Additionally, nine other individuals were transferred to local hospitals as a result of two separate lightning strikes.

Martinsville Speedway’s grandstands will be open to fans free-of-charge for an August 7 and 8 NASCAR Sprint Cup Goodyear tire test at the historic half-mile oval. The test will feature the new 2013 Sprint Cup cars.

Danica Patrick, driver of the GoDaddy.com Chevrolet in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series, will appear for a question-and-answer session in the Monster Mile Club at 11 a.m. before the Sept. 30 “AAA 400” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

Jealousy may soon hit the drivers in the NASCAR garage area. On Saturday, Aug. 11, race fans with tickets to any BMS racing event during IRWIN Tools Night Race Week will be allowed to drive their own vehicle around the revamped concrete surface, an advantage any NASCAR driver surely would enjoy.

Knoxville’s Trevor Bayne, a crowd favorite at Bristol Motor Speedway, is back on track in the Nationwide Series for the Food City 250 Aug. 24.
