The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the Camping World Truck Series travel to Talladega Superspeedway this weekend while the XFINITY Series is off. All of the on-track action for the Sprint Cup Series will be broadcast on NBC Sports Live Extra. The Camping World Truck Series events can be seen on FOX and FOX Sports 1. JGR TOP-10s IN KANSAS: Three Camry drivers from Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) recorded top-10 results in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Kansas Speedway on Sunday – Denny Hamlin (second), Kyle Busch (fifth) and Carl Edwards (eighth). In the first five events of the 2015 Chase for the Sprint Cup championship, JGR drivers have tallied 14 top-10 finishes, including wins by Hamlin (Chicagoland Speedway) and Matt Kenseth (New Hampshire Motor Speedway). Camry driver Kenseth (14th) dominated much of the Kansas contest and led a race-high 153 laps (of 269), but finished in the middle of the field after contact from race-winner Joey Logano in the closing laps of the race.

NASCAR has announced that the number of green-white-checker attempts for Talladega will be reduced to one. Starting this weekend, both the Camping World Truck Series Fred's 250 and Sprint Cup Series CampingWorld.com 500 at Talladega Superspeedway will be limited to one green-white-checker attempt.

Talladega Superspeedway today announced the Honorary Starter and the Grand Marshal for the fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-ColaNASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Tuesday morning, Atlanta Motor Speedway announced that the NASCAR traveling circus of the Camping World Truck, XFINITY and Sprint Cup Series will return on the weekend of Feb. 26-28, 2016 following the 58th Daytona 500.

In just over two weeks, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) drivers Timothy Peters and Daniel Hemric will come to Talladega Superspeedway for the fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola (Saturday, Oct. 24) with two different perspectives. Peters, the defending champion of the race, will seek to become the third driver ever to win back-to-back truck events at TSS while Hemric, a rookie in the NCWTS, will see the track for the first time ever with hopes for a solid finish.

There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that any wall in NASCAR’s top three series isn’t SAFER barrier protected. The only real case one can make toward not having it is Eldora Speedway due to the low speeds.
