NASCAR Truck Series

This weekend's Pocono Mountains 125 will produce a first-time Pocono Raceway winner in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS). Elliott Sadler, the 2010 winner and Kevin Harvick who won in 2011 are not entered in this event.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teams are in for a thrill this weekend at Pocono Raceway as they hit the track for the first time since the repaving of the 2.5-mile track. Timothy Peters and the No. 17 Toyota Tundra are anxious for the 50-lap Pocono Mountains 125 as the pavement gives the Truck Series garage a level playing field.

For two-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Todd Bodine, Pocono Raceway is home away from home. The Chemung, N.Y. native and driver of the No. 11 Northeast Toyota Dealers Toyota Tundra is anxious to be in Long Pond, Pennsylvania after spending many years racing with older brothers Brett and Geoff at the 2.5-mile Tri-oval.

The Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma is airing its first public service announcement to raise awareness about the No. 1 killer of children in America - serious injury. The PSA will run on select cable channels in Charter Communications' service areas throughout the U.S. July 23-August 19.

In his third full season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, James Buescher has taken the series and NASCAR by storm.

The Atlanta Motor Speedway ticket office will extend its hours, including opening on weekends, beginning on July 28 in advance of the track’s three nights of NASCAR racing during Labor Day weekend, Aug. 31-Sept. 2.

When the green flag flies for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) on Sunday, it will mark the 200th start for the Toyota Camry in NSCS competition. Since entering the series in 2007, Camry drivers have combined to capture 44 wins, 196 top-five results, 370 top-10 finishes and 38 pole positions in six seasons at NASCAR's highest level.

Gaughan dominated the American Ethanol 225 only to come up short on a green-white-checkered finish. He had been leading the restart previous before spinning his tires and handing the win to James Buescher.

With the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series taking their final weekend off of the season, there was a major opportunity for the Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series to rise, shine and take over the sport's center stage at the Chicagoland Speedway last weekend.

The University of Northwestern Ohio, like many drivers during a NASCAR race weekend, will be doing double duty at Bristol Motor Speedway in August, sponsoring two events.
