History was yet again the topic of conversation Sunday early afternoon at Daytona International Raceway as the NASCAR Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series made its debut on the iconic DAYTONA Road Course. When the checkered flag waved, Sheldon Creed placed his name in the record book, holding off teammate GMS Racing Brett Moffitt in a two-lap dash for glory in overtime.

Raphaël Lessard (third) led Toyota in the Sunoco 159 at the Daytona International Speedway Road Course on Sunday afternoon. Series points leader Austin Hill (fifth), Scott Lagasse Jr. (ninth) and Stewart Friesen (10th) also drove Tundras to top-10 finishes in the Irish Hills.

Smith on Racing at Daytona: "I’m excited to go racing in the Truck Series again,” said Smith. “I’m thankful to all of the great partners that we have that made this opportunity possible. I’ve spent some time at the shop with this Niece Motorsports team, and I’m looking forward to getting to the track with them this weekend in Daytona.”

Hocevar on Racing at the Daytona Road Course: "I’ve been looking forward to getting behind the wheel of one of these Niece Motorsports Chevrolets all year,” said Hocevar.

Natalie Decker on Racing at the Daytona Road Course: “This weekend’s race is definitely going to be a unique challenge for everyone,” said Decker.

Returning to Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway this weekend is certainly going to bring back flashbacks of Codie Rohrbaugh and his CR7 Motorsports team performance in the season-opening race at the “World Center of Racing.”

Ty Majeski on Racing at the Daytona Road Course: “I’m hoping a different kind of race track will help change up our luck,” said Majeski.

Front Row Motorsports announced today that Pneumatech will be the primary sponsor of Todd Gilliland’s No. 38 Ford F-150 in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series (NGROTS) race at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway on Friday, Sept. 25.

Tanner Gray will be making his second road course start Sunday, but his first at the 3.61-mile track of Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway and his first in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series (NGROTS). His previous road racing experience came at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International last year in the K&N East Series when he started second, but finished 11th after a mechanical issue.
