Forbush Performance’s veteran/rookie lineup ready for IMSA Endurance Cup weekend at Road America

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (August 12, 2026) – Matt Forbush, Jules Caranta and the Forbush Performance team look to capitalize on lessons learned in their first race weekend together earlier this year, taking on the two-hour IMSA Airbnb Endurance Challenge at Road America this weekend (live broadcast available globally on YouTube, Sunday, Aug 16 11:00 AM).

Caranta, an 18-year-old Saint Tropez native, and Forbush, 42, first paired up back in May at Circuit of the Americas, finishing sixth in the Endurance Challenge (Caranta also finished sixth in a Forbush Performance LMP3 in the VP Racing Challenge event at COTA) behind the wheel of the No. 18 Forbush Performance Duqueine D09. The youngster impressed everyone with his race craft and maturity that weekend, setting the fastest race lap in his first race event in the U.S.

2026 marks just the third season in race cars for Caranta. After a solid karting career, he started racing in the junior open wheel ranks, progressing through F4 UAE, F4 France, and Eurocup-3 before shifting his focus to sports car racing. Caranta has competed in three Michelin Le Mans Cup races with Nielsen Racing this season in the LMP3 car, earning a fifth-place finish at Le Mans in June.

Through Caranta’s relatively short race car career, one important stat shines through: in 67 races over the past three years, Caranta has finished all but one race, earning four victories, 16 podiums and two pole positions. Named to the Duqueine by Debard Academy in 2026, Caranta came into Forbush’s notice in the early days of his contact with Vendée, France-based Duqueine Automotive.

Forbush was looking for a new LMP3 car for the 2026 season and when he spoke with Duqueine Automotive CEO, site engineer and performance engineer Sébastien Breuil, he knew that the new CEO was making things happen. It was in France that Forbush first heard of Caranta.

“I went to France and met with Sébastien and he introduced me to Jules,” said Forbush. “We did a test day, and I hit it off quite well with both him and his parents. I could see how talented he was, so once we had the program up and running and were in a position to bring on a driver for the AirBnB Endurance Challenge, we signed him to drive for us in that first race weekend.”

It was immediately clear to Forbush that Caranta was a rare talent. Hoping to continue the partnership, the team tested the youngster in the car at Road America, and the decision was made to go forward with Caranta and Forbush in the car for both Road America and the season finale at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. For Forbush, it’s a rewarding opportunity to help a truly talented driver who might not otherwise have a chance.

“I’m starting to realize that from a team owner’s perspective, it’s really enjoyable and meaningful to support an up-and-coming driver like him, to be a part of his journey when he’s on the opposite end of the spectrum from a driver like me,” said Forbush. “For Jules and his parents, to be able to help their motorsports dreams come true, I think is really cool.”

Forbush appreciates the chance to watch Caranta have success as he moves up the racing ladder, and to watch his own Forbush Performance team progress as well. He has a much larger – and longer – view in mind.

“I think Jules will be racing at the top level of whatever series he wants to race in, prototype or open wheel,” said Forbush. “And as for me, I’ve got triplet boys and a girl, and they could be interested in motorsports too. Obviously, I’m passionate about racing, about building the team, enjoying both the team camaraderie and the business side of motorsports. I’m trying to build something that lasts far beyond my racing career, and I think we’re well on our way.”

The two-hour IMSA Airbnb Endurance Challenge – part of the VP Racing SportsCar Challenge series – will take the green flag Sunday at 11:05 a.m. ET. The race will be broadcast live in the U.S. on Peacock TV, and internationally on IMSA.TV and on IMSA’s YouTube channel – ad-free courtesy of Michelin.

About Matt Forbush

Partnering with other teams, Forbush raced part time in Spec Miata and HSR starting in 2019. He launched the Toyota GR Supra GT4 in SRO’s GT4 America series in 2021 while capturing a dominant TC America team title that same year, with the team’s two drivers finishing first and second in driver points. In 2022, the team progressed to the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and GT4 America, then partnered with Skip Barber Racing in the 2023 series. Forbush raced at Daytona in 2024 with support from Racing to End Alzheimer’s, before he moved to HSR and the LMP3 platform in 2025.

TPC Racing Back in Action in USAC Sports Car Race Weekend at Road America

  • Tillman Schmid Set for Season Debut in the No. 277 TPC Racing/Monoflo International Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in Porsche Sprint Challenge Doubleheader
  • Michael Levitas and His Son Harris Levitas Share the No. 36 TPC Racing/DSC Sport Mustang Dark Horse R in the Weekend’s USAC Mustang Cup Doubleheader
  • Cliff Elliott Returns in the No. 65 TPC Racing/DSC Sport Mustang Dark Horse R in USAC Mustang Cup

ELKHART LAKE, Wisconsin – With premier Porsche power and big-bore Ford Mustang V8 thunder both under their tent in the paddock, TPC Racing returns to action this week with top-tier entries in both USAC Porsche Sprint Challenge North America and USAC Mustang Cup in a full weekend of doubleheader race competition at Road America, August 14 – 16.

TPC Racing, the Maryland-based championship-winning sports car racing powerhouse, is the only one of the more than two dozen teams competing in USAC competition this weekend at Road America fielding entries in both Porsche Sprint Challenge and Mustang Cup. The full weekend includes overdue returns to competition for the majority of TPC Racing’s four competing drivers across three different classes in the Porsche and Mustang racing series.

Making his latest season debut in more than four years with TPC Racing, Tillman Schmid is back for what is remarkably his first race of the season in the No. 277 TPC Racing/Monoflo International Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. The No. 277 has been previously campaigned in this year’s top Pro-Am 992 GT3 Cup class by Schmid’s “tradeoff teammate” Evan Hinkle, but Schmid gets the call up this weekend for his first appearance at Road America since racing a TPC Racing Porsche Cayman there in 2024.

Another returning driver after a lengthy layoff is first-year TPC Racing pilot Cliff Elliott who will contest both weekend races in his No. 65 TPC Racing Ford Mustang Dark Horse R. In just his second career and most recent race weekend in Mustang Cup at Barber Motorsports Park in April, Elliott scored his first top-five finish in the series with fifth in the Dark Horse Legends class on Saturday.

In addition to racing out of the same paddock space for the first time with Schmid, Elliott rejoins fellow Mustang Cup competitors and TPC Racing principals Michael Levitas and his son Harris Levitas in the No. 36 TPC Racing/DSC Sport Ford Mustang Dark Horse R at Road America.

The senior Levitas, a Rolex 24 At Daytona GT class winning driver and team owner, was the only competitor who raced in the most recent rounds of USAC’s 2026 road racing series in June at VIRginia International Raceway (VIR). Unfortunately, he was taken out in a hard contact incident in the opening Miles Cup Mustang race at VIR while battling in the lead pack. Michael Levitas was uninjured in the heavy accident, but the No. 36 was nearly destroyed.

Despite the severe damage – which sidelined Harris Levitas from competing in the No. 36 in Sunday’s Parnelli Cup round – the no-quit TPC Racing crew worked tirelessly the last month to put a new tub on the No. 36 and essentially rebuild the Mustang from the ground up.

Michael Levitas is set for Saturday’s Miles Cup race in Dark Horse Legends while Harris Levitas renews his competitive first season of driving in several years in Sunday’s 45-minute Parnelli Cup weekend finale. The younger Levitas, who also serves as TPC Racing’s Director of Race Operations, has been impressive as a driver this year and nearly pulled off his first Dark Horse class and overall win in the rain-soaked final race at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in June.

Following practice for all racing series today and qualifying on Friday, racing gets underway later Friday afternoon with Schmid’s first Porsche GT3 Cup race for 40 minutes at 4:15 p.m. CDT. Saturday features the second and final Porsche GT3 race at 12:15 p.m. CDT that goes back-to-back with the Mustang Miles race at 1:55 p.m. CDT. Sunday’s Parnelli Cup Mustang sprint wraps the weekend with a 1:05 p.m. CDT green flag.

The Mustang Cup races can be viewed through livestream coverage on the Ford Racing YouTube Channel while the Porsche rounds will air via livestream coverage on the Porsche Motorsport North America YouTube Channel.

Tillman Schmid, Driver – No. 277 Monoflo International/TPC Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup: “I am Just excited to get back into the car. I have only been to Road America one time in the Cayman a few years ago with Chloe Chambers for a Porsche Endurance series race, but that ended prematurely with that big wreck at the green flag. Overall, I am just looking for a good, clean weekend back with Monoflo International and TPC Racing.”

Harris Levitas, TPC Racing Director of Race Operations; Driver – No. 36 TPC Racing/DSC Sport Mustang Dark Horse R: “It is awesome to get back to racing this summer, particularly on a track as great at Road America. We welcome Tillman and Cliff back for the first times in a while and have to give full credit and huge thank you to the entire TPC Racing crew and everyone who helped us get our DSC Sport No 36 Mustang back together. The important thing is that my Dad was OK in a pretty hard hit at VIR, and now we are more than ready and look forward to a solid and successful weekend ahead at Road America.”

Michael Levitas, Driver – No. 36 TPC Racing/DSC Sport Mustang Dark Horse R: “It will be great to get back to racing again. It’s a good thing we had a little bit of off time because it took every bit of it to put the Mustang back on its feet. Harris and I are ready to go back at it, and I think we will have a great car. We have worked hard at it, so it should be good right out of the box. We are really excited to be back in it, driving our Mustang alongside Cliff and keeping Tillman and the Porsche going and right up there too. It is always great to have the Monoflo International guys, and Tillman or Evan, with us at the track, and Cliff returns for the first time since Barber. Virginia wasn’t on his schedule, and he took off the COTA race for his daughter’s graduation, so congratulations to them. He has been working on the simulator and is raring to go. It is going to be an exciting weekend, I may put in a little sim time myself. It has been a good couple years or so since I have been to Road America.”

STORYLINES:

Brad Keselowski – Sitting 19th in the Cup Series standings and 49 points below the Chase cutline, Keselowski faces a pivotal moment at this Saturday’s race at Richmond Raceway. With only three regular-season races remaining, he is determined to post a strong performance as he races toward the Chase. Richmond has been a strong track for Keselowski, who has two career wins there and has more recently finished among the top ten 4 out his last 5 visits.

Chris Buescher – Buescher heads to Richmond Raceway in a strong position to secure his place in the Chase, sitting ninth in the standings with a comfortable 140-point cushion above the cutline. Saturday night presents an opportunity to shift the focus toward building momentum. Buescher won this race in 2023, leading 88 laps, and he has finished inside the top three twice in his last six Richmond starts.

Ryan Preece – He is the first driver outside the cutline and continues to put pressure on those clinging to a Chase qualifying spot. Just 29 points shy of the Chase cutoff, Preece is poised to shake up the standings at Richmond Raceway this Saturday. Last year, he won the pole and led 60 laps. With only three races left in the regular season, Preece’s short-track prowess makes him a formidable contender.

Chris Buescher led the way, charging from 27th to a 13th place finish in the No. 17 Body Guard Ford Mustang Dark Horse. Ryan Preece also battled his way forward, climbing from 35th to 20th in the No. 60 Kroger/Force Factor Ford Mustang Dark Horse as the team continued to improve the car throughout the race. Brad Keselowski, fought hard from the very beginning. After starting fourth, the No. 6 Trimble Ford Mustang Dark Horse ultimately crossed the line 27th, battling tire chatter after the team worked Saturday to repair the car following his qualifying crash. It wasn’t the day RFK Racing was looking for, but with three teams showing resilience and finding gains throughout the race, the focus now turns to taking those lessons and carrying that momentum into the final stretch of the season.

Smart Store Design Ideas For an Attractive Shopping Environment

Starting or growing a retail business involves a lot, from deciding on products to finding a suitable neighborhood. How a store looks and operates strongly affects how customers experience the brand. A well-designed retail environment makes product discovery easier, creates an expert impression, and can encourage shoppers to spend more time in the store.

Whether you are starting a small shop, upgrading an existing thrift store, designing a shopping center, or planning a large retail space, thoughtful, safe design can be a vital part of your professional technique.

The Design Does Matter and Use the Space Wisely

Customers often form an impression of business activity within seconds of entering the store. A cluttered or poorly managed area looks less attractive than a well-organized one. On the other hand, a lightweight, organized, and visually appealing funnel can instantly speak of professionalism. Retail design needs to balance form with capacity. Products should be visible and accessible, and floor space should allow customers to move easily. Furnishings can also support the types of products offered.

One of the biggest challenges for retail companies is using rear space efficiently. Small retailers can’t afford to waste treasures close to the ground, but filling every available corner with goods can still make the environment feel crowded. The right approach is to create a clear layout with defined product areas. Place high-demand products in specific locations, close to complementary products.

Retailers additionally need to consider the patron’s natural movement through the store. A logical path allows users to move from one product group to another and makes it easier to discover new devices.

The checkout counter should be smooth to find without dominating the entire area. Depending on the nature of the retail business, impulse buy products may also be placed near the checkout area.

Get displays that support your brand

Trade shows are not garage sales, after all. They are part of the business’s visual identity. The materials, colors, designs, and finishes used during the store can complement the company’s branding. Stylish glass displays, sophisticated metal finishes, and well-designed display tables can create the right atmosphere for a top-rate style boutique.

Sellers want balance and flexibility. Rearranging or adjusting displays can make it easier to bring together seasonals, marketing campaigns, or introduce a new product line. A well-designed store can help display gift items in a visually appealing way, contributing to the store’s overall look.

Lighting in a retail space

Lighting is another essential part of decorating the store of happiness. Even great presentations may not attract interest if the products are poorly displayed. General lighting can provide comfortable visibility throughout the store, while additional lighting fixtures can draw attention to specific items or display areas. Lighting can highlight products, advertising departments, or architectural details.

The color temperature of the lighting material must also be appropriate to create the atmosphere. Warm light fixtures can create a relaxed, inviting feel, while cool light fixtures can contribute to a clean, modern look. Retailers should avoid excessive glare, especially on glass displays and reflective surfaces. A specialized lighting installation plan should consider customer comfort and product presentation.

Function and style

Business placement plays an important role in developing a specialized retail environment. Select counters, display tables, reception tables, garage shelves, seating, and other furniture parts based on the store’s needs. A well-designed counter, for example, can serve multiple functions by providing a checkout area, product display area, garage, and visual focal point for the store.

Custom fixtures can be especially useful when the commercial space has unusual dimensions or special branding needs. Instead of trying to adapt trendy fixtures to the available space, a custom section can be designed to the exact scale of the layout.

Materials should also be selected in accordance with the anticipated application. Commercial furniture will face everyday customer interaction, cleaning, movement, and everyday wear and tear. So sustainability is as important as appearance. Every retail business has unique needs. Even small thrift stores may require compact shelving, while large branch guards may require more furniture and display arrangements. Shopping centers also present unique challenges, as they need to attract the attention of customers browsing through a busy environment.

Create a Great Customer Experience

Modern retail is increasingly focused on pleasing customers. Consumers don’t necessarily go to stores to buy products; they also expect a convenient, attractive, and pleasant atmosphere.

Interactive presentations, well-organized product areas, problem areas, and visually interesting tasks could make the physical store more memorable. Vendors can also use seasonal decorations and redeemable presentations to maintain a fresh environment throughout the year.

However, an appropriate design should not sacrifice usability for form. Customers should be able to find products without problems, read prices and specifications, and move through the store with ease.

Plan Everything Before You Start

An effective way to avoid pointless spending is to create a detailed store plan before you buy furniture or start. Carefully measure the space required and determine where key elements could be placed at entrances, cash registers, garage areas, and product categories. A successful store design combines branding, capabilities, patron appeal, and efficient use of space. From attractive shelving and display cases to professional furnishings, lighting, and complete service setups, every factor can contribute to how customers perceive a business.

Whether the goal is a compact boutique or a larger store, interior design systems can transform an everyday business space into the perfect retail environment that enhances the shopper experience.
