Hustling Into Homestead: Cody Ware Putting in the Work Ahead of Straight Talk Wireless 400

Hustling Into Homestead
Cody Ware Putting in the Work Ahead of Straight Talk Wireless 400

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (March 20, 2025) – Cody Ware is hustling into Homestead-Miami Speedway. The Straight Talk Wireless 400 Sunday at the 1.5-mile oval culminates a whirlwind week for the driver of the No. 51 Jacob Construction Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Rick Ware Racing (RWR) and provides a glimpse into the life of a NASCAR Cup Series driver.

Ware touched down in Concord, North Carolina, shortly before 1 a.m. EDT on Monday after a six-hour flight back from Las Vegas, site of last Sunday’s race. He shook off the effects of jet lag and went about his routine of working out and downloading data from the race he had just run 14 hours earlier. Sleep beckoned even as the sky remained lit from the remnants of dusk, but the recommended eight hours of shuteye was cut short by a 4:30 a.m. wakeup call. Ware was on an early flight to Indianapolis on Tuesday to join his RWR counterpart in the NHRA Mission Food Drag Racing Series, Top Fuel driver Clay Millican, to speak with 500 Arby’s franchisees, and he needed to get to Charlotte-Douglas International Airport.

An all-day event stretched well into the evening, and after an even shorter sleep, Ware caught another early-morning flight out of Indianapolis on Wednesday and flew back to Charlotte. He drove straight from the airport to the RWR shop for his weekly team meeting, which was pushed back a day from its standard Tuesday slot to accommodate the trip to Indy.

The meeting was in-depth and covered not just the details from the prior race at Las Vegas, but the season to date. Homestead was a new opportunity, and everyone wanted to unlock its potential.

By 2 p.m., Ware was driving north on Interstate 85 to High Point, North Carolina, where he had an in-studio television interview with FOX Channel 8 reporter Chris Weaver. Around 3:15 p.m., Ware pulled into the lot. By 3:30 p.m., he was live on a recently launched show being streamed across Roku, Firestick and AppleTV on myFOX8+. Interaction with other personnel and a tour of the station followed. By 4:45 p.m., Ware was back on the road, returning home around 6 p.m.

Dinner, a decent night’s rest, and then another pre-dawn wakeup on Thursday followed, this time for a four-hour stint in the simulator at the Ford Performance Center in Concord, North Carolina. There, Ware and his crew chief, Billy Plourde, put into play much of what they had discussed in their team meeting the day before. With only 25 minutes of practice on Saturdays of race weekends followed by just a single qualifying lap, the simulator is an essential tool to finding a fast setup before the car even turns a wheel on the racetrack.

Ware hit the gym afterward, then got to enjoy an afternoon before packing up for his Friday flight to South Florida.

“Racing is all about what goes on Monday to Friday, even Friday to Saturday, and then Sunday is the fun part,” Ware said.

“I did get a chance to reset and reload toward the end of this week. It’s busy for a reason. We’ve got some work to do. It’s been a tough start to the year and we’ve got to start putting together some good results.”

Homestead is known as a driver’s track. It is a favorite among competitors, with its weathered asphalt, long straightaways and variable banking giving drivers options to search different racing lines while managing their tires.

“Homestead is super aggressive, super abrasive. It’s almost like Darlington times 10, where the track surface, after a lap or two, your tires are shot. Everyone’s got a terrible racecar 10 laps into a run. That’s why it’s a more driver-oriented track,” Ware said.

“It’s all about making the most of what you have. I think even the guy leading the race at Homestead is going to be complaining about how bad his car is, but he’s just the one who’s making the most of it.”

Ware will make the most of his track time at Homestead beginning at 1:05 p.m. on Saturday when practice begins for the Straight Talk Wireless 400. Qualifying is immediately afterward, and Ware will be the second of 37 drivers to turn a lap against clock and set his position for Sunday’s race. The 267-lap race goes green at 3 p.m. with live coverage on FS1 and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

“Once you strap into the racecar, all the other outside noise goes away,” Ware said. “You’ve got your spotter up top, you’re working with your crew chief, so it’s not a quiet place, but it’s my happy place, for sure. It’s where I feel the most comfortable and feel at home.”

About Rick Ware Racing:

Rick Ware has been a motorsports mainstay for more than 40 years. It began at age 6 when the third-generation racer began his driving career and has since spanned four wheels and two wheels on both asphalt and dirt. Competing in the SCCA Trans Am Series and other road-racing divisions led Ware to NASCAR in the early 1980s, where he finished third in his NASCAR debut – the 1983 Warner W. Hodgdon 300 NASCAR Grand American race at Riverside (Calif.) International Raceway. More than a decade later, injuries would force Ware out of the driver’s seat and into full-time team ownership. In 1995, Rick Ware Racing was formed, and with his wife Lisa by his side, Ware has since built his eponymous organization into an entity that competes full-time in the elite NASCAR Cup Series while simultaneously campaigning successful teams in the Top Fuel class of the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, Progressive American Flat Track and FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX).

On Homestead-Miami Speedway Previous Experience: “I’m very much looking forward to building on the relative success I had last year at Miami. We had a weird issue with the right rear shock, limiting our performance in the last half of Stage 3 last year.

“However, we were still racing fairly competitively even during that! Not having to start from square one in my understanding of how to drive and race, the track is massive, so as long as the setup is there, I feel confident we can build on last year’s result!”

On Homestead-Miami Speedway Keys to Success: “Having a truck with strong handling and a good balance will be the primary key to success at Miami, as well as qualifying further forward to avoid going a lap down in Stage 1.

“If we can do that, then I feel confident we’ll have a great opportunity to learn to pitstop and race with the leaders, which will continue to progress my learning curve throughout the year.”

On Goals for Homestead-Miami Speedway: “I believe that if we managed a top 25 qualifying while racing for a top 20, it will be a big stamp on the team’s hard work and our ability to bounce back from a rough start to the season.”

● Las Vegas Motor Speedway | The LiUNA! NASCAR Xfinity Series Race Recap: The first of two trips to Sin City kicked off with the LiUNA! NASCAR Xfinity Series Race on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The Young’s Motorsports team entered the weekend aiming to build on a solid showing in practice, where Anthony Alfredo clocked the 20th quickest lap among the 38-car field.

In qualifying, Alfredo delivered the 22nd fastest lap, setting up the team optimistically heading into the 200-lap race.

From the drop of the green flag, Alfredo showed early promise, flirting with the top-10 despite needing adjustments to improve the balance of his No. 42 DUDE Wipes Chevrolet.

Solid mid-race adjustments from crew chief Andrew Abbott kept Alfredo in contention. However, with Stage 3 running caution-free, Alfredo had to hustle for every position on track.

A quick and efficient pit stop by the Young’s Motorsports crew kept Alfredo in the mix, helping him secure a respectable 18th-place finish at the checkered flag — marking the team’s best finish of the 2025 season.

After five races, the team looks to carry this momentum forward and improve on their current average finish of 26.0 as the season progresses.

● Calling the Shots: Guiding Alfredo as crew chief of the No. 42 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro is longtime crew chief Andrew Abbott.

On Saturday, he will be crew chief in his 136th NASCAR Xfinity Series race. In his previous 135 races, he has four top-five and 13 top-10 finishes.

The season’s sixth race will be his fifth tango at Homestead-Miami Speedway as crew chief in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

● Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Xfinity Series at Homestead-Miami Speedway: This weekend will mark Young’s Motorsports’ second NASCAR Xfinity Series start at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

In the team’s lone Xfinity Series start in Southern Florida, the team earned an Xfinity track-best of 30th after starting 26th with rookie Leland Honeyman Jr. at the wheel in October 2024.

Anthony Alfredo Pre-Race Quotes:

On Homestead-Miami Speedway: “Homestead-Miami Speedway is one of my favorite race tracks because of the worn-out surface and the ability to make time running right up against the wall.

“It’s a really fun track and ripping the fence is one of my favorite things to do in a race car. I feel good about the weekend and have a shot to improve our run from Las Vegas.”

On Keys to Success at Homestead-Miami Speedway: “Racing with your right side as close to the outside wall as possible through the corners is the optimal line at Homestead-Miami Speedway because it gives you added side force and overall grip.

“This allows you to carry more speed through the corners as well as momentum down the straightaway to improve lap time. The car needs to be balanced right for you to execute this technique properly, but it’s definitely a driver’s track, and you can do a lot behind the wheel to be successful. “

On Goals for Homestead-Miami Speedway: “A top-15 finish would be good for our team this weekend after a solid top-20 finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway last weekend.

“I’d love the opportunity to be aggressive on the tire strategy to allow us to score stage points or put ourselves upfront at the end of the race.”

On Building on Las Vegas Motor Speedway Finish: “We learned a lot at Las Vegas Motor Speedway that we can build on for all intermediate-style race tracks.

“We weren’t entirely satisfied with our speed, but we were content with putting a whole race together. We know what we need to improve on moving forward.”

On The 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series Season: “My goal this year with Young’s Motorsports is simple: to win a regular-season race and make the Playoffs.

“It’s certainly a tall order, but we can make it happen. We will build this program from the ground up and make that goal a reality.”

From Indianapolis to Darlington: Wood Brothers Pay Homage to Jim Clark’s 1965 Triumph

Josh Berry to pilot throwback scheme celebrating the Wood Brothers’ pivotal role in Clark’s historic Indy 500 win

DEARBORN, Mich. (March 20, 2025) – Wood Brothers Racing and driver Josh Berry are set to honor a landmark moment in the team’s history with a special throwback paint scheme for the upcoming Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway, the Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR. The No. 21 Motorcraft Ford Mustang will don a design inspired by Jim Clark’s iconic Ford-powered Lotus, which clinched victory at the 1965 Indianapolis 500—a win significantly bolstered by the Wood Brothers’ innovative pit stop strategies.

The tribute livery was unveiled today with a commemorative event at The Henry Ford in Dearborn, Michigan, where Clark’s original race-winning car is exhibited.

“This was a really fun project to work on with the team, from sorting all the details to making sure it properly reflected such an important moment in history,” said Jon Wood, president of Wood Brothers Racing. “It’s always special to run a throwback, but this one carries extra meaning because of the connection our family had to that Indy 500 win. Unveiling it at The Henry Ford, right next to the original car, made it even more special. Seeing the No. 21 in those colors is a great way to honor that history, and I think it’s something fans will really appreciate.”

That connection dates back to an unexpected conversation at Darlington Raceway, the very track where this tribute will take center stage. During a NASCAR race in the mid-1960s, Ford Motor Company racing official John Cowley approached Glenn Wood with a proposition that took him by surprise—assisting with pit stops for Clark and Team Lotus in the 1965 Indianapolis 500.

“When we were asked by Ford Motor Company to pit Jim Clark’s car for the Indy 500, it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our family,” said Leonard Wood. “We were just a group of guys from Stuart, Virginia, working on stock cars, and suddenly, we were part of something that would become a unique part of our history. To see that same scheme now on our No. 21 Ford Mustang for Throwback Weekend at Darlington is really special. It brings back a lot of memories, and it’s a great way to honor that moment.”

Berry, in his first season driving for the Wood Brothers, has already added to the team’s storied legacy by recently capturing his first career NASCAR Cup Series victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which also marked the Wood Brothers’ 101st win.

“The Wood Brothers have such a rich history in racing, and their role in the 1965 Indy 500 is one of those stories that really stands out,” said Berry. “Getting to drive a throwback that represents such a unique moment for the team is really special. The scheme looks amazing, and I can’t wait to hit the track at Darlington with it.”

The 2025 NASCAR Throwback Weekend at Darlington Raceway takes place April 5-6, with the Goodyear 400 scheduled for Sunday, April 6, at 3 p.m. ET on FS1.

Liability in a Georgia Speeding Accident: Who’s Responsible for Covering Your Damages?

Photo by Shahzin Shajid on Unsplash

Almost every driver is guilty of speeding at least once in their lives. Maybe you didn’t notice the decrease in the speed limit or simply love going fast. Whatever the reason you’re pressing down on the gas pedal, speeding can be dangerous.

Going above the speed limit can result in an accident that can cause significant injuries and vehicle damage. Even though the driver going over the speed limit may seem like the obvious at-fault party, this isn’t always the case. Recovering compensation in a GA speeding accident can be complicated, especially if fault comes into question.

Who’s Liable in a Speeding Accident?

Speeding is illegal regardless of which state you call home. If you’re caught speeding by law enforcement, you’re probably looking at a hefty traffic fine.

You may even end up with points being added to your driver’s license and this can result in higher auto insurance rates. Receive too many speeding tickets and your insurance carrier may even drop your coverage. Your speeding tickets can signal to the insurance companies that you’re an at-risk driver.

You may think since speeding is illegal this simplifies determining liability and sometimes this applies. However, Georgia is a comparative negligence state and this means more than one individual can be responsible for an accident, even if the other driver is speeding. For example, you make an illegal turn and are hit by a speeding vehicle. In this scenario, both drivers may be at fault.

How Does Comparative Negligence Work?

Like several other states. Georgia follows comparative negligence rules. Fault is assigned to all parties responsible for causing an accident. You can assume up to 50% of the blame before you’re prohibited from filing a personal injury claim against the other driver’s insurance provider.

Who assesses fault in a speed-related car crash? Usually, the responding authorities investigate the accident scene and assign blame. The insurance adjuster can also assign blame. If you don’t agree with your percentage of fault, you can file an appeal. From there, both sides present their evidence to a judge or jury and the court can decide to decrease your percentage of blame or keep it the same.

Filing an Injury Claim in a Georgia Speeding Accident

Okay, you know if you’re being assigned any percentage of fault for the accident. If you’re partially to blame, you’ve decided on whether or not you want to file an appeal. Now it’s time to start working on your accident claim and there are a couple of steps you should follow.

Contact The Insurance Provider

Georgia is an at-fault insurance state. So, there’s a good chance you’re not going to involve your insurance carrier. This usually means you can scratch worrying about higher monthly premiums off your list. Instead, you’re reaching out to the at-fault party’s insurance provider. This is also when things can get a little tricky. You really need to be careful what you say to the insurance adjuster.

All you’re doing is letting the insurance company know you’re getting ready to file an accident claim. Be ready to field a lot of questions. You don’t want to provide definitive answers but you should give the insurance adjuster the basics.

Let them know when and where the speeding accident occurred. However, don’t go into specifics. The insurance company will use just about anything you say to try to reduce the value of your accident claim. If you’re not ready to take on the insurance company, let your Georgia speeding accident attorney handle this detail.

Gather Evidence

After getting in touch with the insurance provider, you’re going to need evidence to support your claim. Most accident claims don’t go anywhere unless you can provide plenty of evidence. Georgia also follows comparative negligence insurance rules. Yep, comparative negligence may reduce the value of your claim. This is something to keep in mind.

What type of evidence does the insurance company look for? Essentially, you need evidence to support every damage listed on your claim. This includes picking up a copy of your accident report and saving all paperwork relating to your injuries and property damage. If you’re claiming lost income, you’re going to need your past pay stubs, tax records, and possibly even a letter from your employer.

Additional Evidence

You may need to present additional evidence, especially if you’re partially at fault for causing the accident. This can help ensure you’re not assessed more than your fair share of the blame.

Get contact information from any witnesses. Their statements can help support your version of events. A quick tip is to keep the conversation brief. Don’t go into detail about the accident. The insurance adjuster is also going to interview the witnesses and you don’t want your statements used to try and reduce the value of your accident claim.

Look for any surveillance cameras in the area. Chances are there’s at least one or two. Almost every home and business uses some type of security camera system to help protect their property. The footage can be invaluable evidence that helps support your claim. Don’t forget about any traffic cameras. Your personal injury attorney can subpoena the footage.

Seek Medical Treatment

Not all speeding-related car accidents result in obvious injuries. However, if you’re walking around after the accident don’t presume you’re not injured. Some injuries like soft tissue ones can take a while to display noticeable signs and symptoms.

Being proactive about your health should be a priority. Besides, you’re going to need the medical documentation for your personal injury claim.

Discuss Your Speeding Accident Claim with a Georgia Collision Attorney

You may think you have every aspect of filing an accident claim under control. This may be true, at least as far as filing a claim with your PIP provider. However, the process gets a little more complicated when you file a claim against the other driver’s insurance carrier.

To help ensure you can receive maximum compensation for your speeding-related accident, it’s a good idea to partner with an experienced personal injury attorney.

PRO STOCK’S DALLAS GLENN LOOKS FOR FIRST PHOENIX WIN THIS WEEKEND AFTER SUCCESS IN GAINESVILLE

PHOENIX (March 20, 2025) – As the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series heads to Firebird Motorsports Park, Pro Stock standout Dallas Glenn looks to continue his early 2025 momentum at the 40th annual NHRA Arizona Nationals.

Glenn opened the 2025 season with a win at the AMALIE Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville in his RAD Torque Systems Chevrolet Camaro. After coming up just short in last year’s winner-take-all final round at the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals in Pomona to teammate and now six-time champion Greg Anderson, Glenn earned the first race win of the season to start the 2025 campaign.

It was the first time in their five final round meetings where Glenn won over the winningest Pro Stock driver in NHRA history, which could also bode well for this season.

“Now that I’ve got that ‘never beating Greg in a final’ monkey off my back, the plan is to stay the course going into this weekend in Phoenix,” Glenn said. “I think my car is a top-tier race car and now I just have to match that ability behind the wheel and get after it this weekend.”

Last season in Phoenix, Shawn Langdon (Top Fuel), Austin Prock (Funny Car) and Anderson (Pro Stock) all claimed wins at Firebird Motorsports Park. This season’s race will again be broadcast on FS1, including eliminations coverage at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 23.

“With the Gainesville win momentum on my side, I’m ready to seal the deal in Phoenix after finishing as runner-up there last year to Greg,” Glenn said. “I spent all winter long thinking about that .002 at the Finals that decided the championship between Greg and myself. I’ve gone over the run so many times, so I went into Gainesville with a pretty clear goal in mind and the same goal remains for Phoenix.”

Along with the NHRA Arizona Nationals, Glenn has his sights set on the first Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge of the season on Saturday. Throughout 2024, Glenn won three Challenges, awarding him bonus cash and bonus championship points. His Gainesville win slots him into this weekend’s bonus race where he’ll rematch with Cory Reed. The other side of the ladder will see Anderson taking on five-time champion Jeg Coughlin.

“The Mission Challenge is a lot of fun for us racers,” said Glenn. “My goal last year was to be in every one of them and I was except one. I have the same goal for this year. My mindset going into the first Mission Challenge of the season is to show up there like it’s raceday and not take anyone lightly. The other three drivers are some of the best behind the wheel and I need to keep my focus.”

In the Top Fuel ranks, Langdon finished runner-up in Gainesville to reigning world champion Antron Brown. If Langdon wants to back up his Phoenix win, he’ll not only need to contest with Brown but also former champs Doug Kalitta and Brittany Force, standouts Clay Millican and Jasmine Salinas, as well as 2024 Rookie of the Year and motorsports legend Tony Stewart.

Prock earned his first Funny Car win in Phoenix last season to kick off his year of dominance in the highly competitive class. He won eight events to earn his first NHRA world championship. Others to watch in the class will be multi-time champions Matt Hagan and Ron Capps, as well as Jack Beckman, Bob Tasca, Alexis DeJoria, Daniel Wilkerson and Gainesville winner Chad Green.

The NHRA Arizona Nationals also features thrilling competition in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, the Congruity NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series and the Legends Nitro Series. Fans can also expect excitement from Team “Muy Caliente” and Curt White “Iceman” in their Jet Cars.

Fans will also be invited to the Nitro Alley Stage, which is the main entertainment hub in the pits. The stage hosts Nitro School, meet and greets, autograph sessions, music and much more. Race fans at Firebird Motorsports Park can enjoy the special pre-race ceremonies that introduce each driver and includes the fan favorite SealMaster Track Walk. The final thrilling experience of any NHRA event is the winner’s circle celebration on Sunday, where fans are invited to congratulate the event winners.

As always, fans get a pit pass to the most powerful and sensory-filled motorsports attraction on the planet. Fans can see their favorite teams in action and servicing their cars, get autographs from their favorite drivers and more. They can also visit NHRA’s Manufacturers Midway, where sponsors and vendors create an exciting atmosphere of interactive displays, merchandise, food and fun.

NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series qualifying features two rounds at 2 and 4:30 p.m. PT on Friday, March 21, and the final two rounds on Saturday, March 22 at 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. The finals of the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge take place at the end of final qualifying in each category. Final eliminations are scheduled for 11 a.m. PT on Sunday, March 23. Television coverage includes qualifying action on FS1 at 8 p.m. ET. on Friday and 12 p.m. on Sunday, leading into eliminations at 6:30 p.m. ET.

TEAM CHEVY SET TO TAKE ON THE THERMAL CLUB IN THE NTT INDYCAR SERIES’ SECOND ROUND OF THE 2025 SEASON

  • The second event of the 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season takes Chevrolet-powered teams and drivers west to The Thermal Club for the first points-paying event at the 3.067-mile track.
  • The Team Chevy drivers and teams of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES have grown familiar to the Southern California facility, first testing there in 2023 and holding the $1 Million Challenge exhibition event in 2024.
  • Chevrolet is looking to be the first manufacturer to score the NTT P1 Pole Award and win in a points-paying competition at The Thermal Club.
  • Overall, Team Chevy has amassed 122 wins and 136 earned NTT P1 Pole Awards in the V6 era of the Series since 2012, in addition to 337 podium finishes.

DETROIT (March 20, 2025) – The Team Chevy drivers and teams head west to The Thermal Club for the second round of the 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season for the first points-paying event at the 3.067-mile raceway.

Competing on the Twin Palms layout, the NTT INDYCAR SERIES first tested at the track in 2023, competing last year in the $1 Million Challenge exhibition event. Featuring a set of highly demanding 17 turns, tight corners, long straightaways, and elevation changes, the technical track features a significant challenge for competitors.

“The Thermal Club will be a challenge for the second round of the 2025 season,” said Rob Buckner, Chevrolet INDYCAR Program Manager. “After a solid test earlier this month at Barber, our Chevrolet-powered drivers have a solid foundation to adapt to the natural road course after coming off the Streets of St. Petersburg. The Thermal Club provides a technical challenge to our drivers and teams that sets the stage for a competitive race. We’re looking forward to the weekend.”

The Thermal Club INDYCAR Grand Prix first kicks off with Practice 1 on Friday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1 (FS1). Saturday sees Practice 2 at 1 p.m. ET, with qualifying and the Firestone Fast Six at 5 p.m. ET, both on FS1. Sunday’s race day opens then with a warm-up session on FS1 at 11 a.m. ET. The 65-lap, 199.36-mile main event takes the green flag live with new NTT INDYCAR SERIES partner FOX on Sunday live at 3 p.m. ET. All practice and qualifying sessions broadcast with INDYCAR Radio and SiriusXM Channel 218.

WHAT THEY’RE SAYING:

David Malukas, No. 4 AJ Foyt Racing Chevrolet:

“Very excited to get going again after a short break from St. Pete! We were able to spend some time looking through the data we collected to better the car and myself heading into Thermal. From my injury last year, I was never able to race Thermal so this will be a first for me. Lots of new things to look forward to and can’t wait to see what gains we have made!”

Santino Ferrucci, No. 14 AJ Foyt Racing Chevrolet:

“I’m excited to get back in the cockpit and looking forward to using the Chevy power on this high-speed road course.”

Pato O’Ward, No. 5 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet:

“It’s going to be cool going back to Thermal for the first-ever points race at this track. It’s a unique and, honestly, fun place to drive, so I’m looking forward to racing there. We learned a lot from testing there the last two years, so hopefully we should be competitive this weekend. I think we’ve got to nail qualifying to have a shot, but I’m confident that we’ve put together a package that will put us near the front.”

Nolan Siegel, No. 6 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet:

“Looking back, St. Pete showed the pace that we have in the No. 6 NTT DATA Arrow McLaren Chevrolet, which is really encouraging heading into Thermal this weekend. The car was strong and we were qualified well, but obviously we didn’t get to make it out of the first lap. I’m looking forward to converting that speed we had into points this weekend. We feel good about our package, so I’m excited to get back out there and fight for a solid result.”

Christian Lundgaard, No. 7 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet:

“We had a solid start to the season, but as a team, we’re always pushing for me. I think last week’s test at Barber was another good step for us as we keep working to find the right balance in the No. 7 VELO Arrow McLaren Chevrolet. The team is gelling well together and we get better every time we hit the track. We’re hungry for more in Thermal this weekend, and I’m confident that our hard work will pay off.”

Alexander Rossi, No. 20 Ed Carpenter Racing Chevrolet:

“I am very excited to head to one of the more unique venues on our calendar. Last year’s event at The Thermal Club was just an exhibition, so there is a lot of anticipation as we head back there for a proper points scoring race. As with most first-time events, I don’t think anyone has an idea on what to expect so it’s going to be an intense weekend throughout.”

Christian Rasmussen, No. 21 Ed Carpenter Racing Chevrolet:

“Time to go to the desert! I am looking forward going back to The Thermal Club. The team had a successful test out there in the off season and we are confident with the package we’re bringing. Coming off a solid race in St. Pete, we feel like we can produce an even better result at Thermal this weekend!”
