Hoosier Superspeedway Challenge Hits Halfway; ARCA Drivers on Track at Michigan at 4:05 ET

[media-credit name=”ARCA Racing Network” align=”alignright” width=”175″][/media-credit](BROOKLYN, Mich. – June 14, 2012) – Like the Bill France Four Crown, a season-within-a-season championship decided on a select number of race tracks, the Hoosier Tire Superspeedway Challenge Award stands as another prize for ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards drivers and teams.

This week, the pursuit of the Hoosier Tire Superspeedway Challenge Award reaches its halfway point in the RainEater Wiper Blades 200 at Michigan International Speedway.

The Hoosier Tire Superspeedway Challenge Award is given to the owner of the ARCA Racing Series team scoring the most race points – not counting qualifying or lap bonuses – in the seven races at Daytona International Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway, Pocono Raceway (two), Michigan International Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway, and Kansas Speedway.

Friday’s RainEater Wiper Blades 200 at Michigan will be the fourth event in the competition. The award will officially be presented in December at the ARCA Racing Series Championship Awards Banquet. Chris Buescher (right) won last year by finishing ahead of eventual series champion Ty Dillon in the Challenge finale at Kansas Speedway.

Based in Lakeville, Ind., Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. produces the Official Tire of the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards and is part of one of the longest-standing sponsor relationships in ARCA’s 59-year history. Hoosier has participated as a supplier for ARCA-sanctioned events since the 1960s and has been the exclusive tire provider for the ARCA Racing Series since 1995.

A chart showcasing points earned through three races is below. Poole’s team is owned by Cathy Venturini, leading cars owned by Greg Hackenbracht (58), Ken Schrader (52), Venturini (66), Bill Venturini (15), Duke Thorson (44), Joe Coulter (16), and Russell Roulo (17). The driver names are listed.
