CHASTAIN OPTIMISTIC FOR HOMESTEAD

HOMESTEAD, Fla. – Ross Chastain will end his rookie season in the Xfinity Series in Saturday’s Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, and he’s hoping to ring up another good finish in the finale.

Chastain has 19 top-20 finishes in his first full season in the series.

“I’m feeling good about this final week,” Chastain said. “It’s been a long year, but a very good one. We’re optimistic about closing out the year with another good run.”

Chastain, who will drive the Corporate Caterers/watermelon.org Chevrolet No. 4 in Saturday’s race, has a strong record at Homestead. He owns two top-10 finishes in four Camping World Truck Series races at the 1.5-mile track. Saturday’s race will mark his second Homestead Xfinity event.

Cassill is 15th in Xfinity points entering the race.

Practice for the season’s 33rd and final race is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Qualifying is set for 11:15 a.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 2:45 p.m.
