After Daytona in July NASCAR made some changes to qualifying. As teams prepare for this weekend's Geico 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, there will be a new format for qualifying.
This past weekend at Peterborough Speedway, OSCAAR and the Hurricane Midgets announced a merger of the two traveling series, with the midgets now known as the OSCAAR Midgets.
On Sunday afternoon, Andrew Gresel would lead flag-to-flag en route to winning the OSCAAR Super Late Model Autumn Colors Classic 50 for the second straight year in a row. Of course, to win, he needs to have a good qualifying spot, considering he isn’t one of the two drivers locked in the front row. The Gran Premio Movistar de Aragon was a chaotic and entertaining 800th premier class Grand Prix. While fans weren’t treated to a close race for the win at the line, it certainly wasn’t a one-bike runaway decided before the halfway point.

An overtime-inducing caution brought out the yellow with just two laps remaining, as Hemric sat 16th. After one overtime attempt, Hemric finished 11th.
Christopher Bell (fourth) and Tyler Reddick (sixth) both overcame adversity on pit road to lead Toyota with strong top-10 finishes at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday evening.
