NASCAR Cup Series

Chase Elliott won the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway on Sunday afternoon. Elliott is really starting to heat up heading into the Round of 8 next week after scoring his second victory in the Round of 12 and his third Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series win this season.

RYAN BLANEY, No. 12 Menards/Wrangler Riggs Workwear Ford Fusion - YOU HIT THE WALL EARLY, HOW MUCH DID THAT IMPACT YOUR DAY? “Obviously it was a mistake I made trying to work hard to catch those guys and I pushed too hard and got in the fence. It is all my fault. Whether it would have worked out for us or not, I don't know. I don't think we had the speed the 9 or 4 had. The 9 was super fast. I don't know. I messed up and cost us a shot. I want to thank Wrangler and Menards and Ford for doing what they do. The whole 12 team deserves better than that. That was unfortunate on my part.”

RYAN BLANEY, No. 12 Menards/Wrangler Riggs Workwear Ford Fusion - Qualified 4th “I feel pretty good about that. I felt like we made a really good change there for the last round. It felt a lot faster than that actually, I can’t believe it wasn’t faster. I am kind of puzzled. It was a good effort. We had speed all day and we will start second row, not a bad place for what we need to do. Hopefully we can have a good day on Sunday.”

JOEY LOGANO, No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Ford Fusion - TELL US ABOUT STARTING UP FRONT HERE ON SUNDAY: “Yeah, obviously it was a great lap. The car was great from when we unloaded. I was laughing when we came in saying we made good adjustments today and it was a joke because we didn’t change anything from when we unloaded. We were pretty good the first lap on the race track."

ERIK JONES, No. 20 Craftsman Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing - Qualifying Position: 6th - Talk about your qualifying effort today. “It was alright. I think our Craftsman Toyota had pretty good speed, but just not quite enough to get the pole. We’ll keep working on it, but not a bad effort. We’ll start up here in the top six and go from there.”

KEVIN HARVICK, No. 4 Busch Light Ford Fusion - TELL US ABOUT YOUR LAP: “It was a good lap. It is a good starting position and I am looking forward to the weekend. We got it off to a good start.”

CLINT BOWYER, No. 14 Dekalb Ford Fusion -- HOW IS YOUR CAR RUNNING AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU WHEN YOU FIRST CAME TO THE SERIES TO GET USED TO WORKING WITH ALL THE TELEMETRY AND INFORMATION? “I don't think there is any such thing as too much information in today’s day in age. It is crazy how you can dissect every aspect of such a simple thing, a race car going through the corner and on a 1.5 mile track going really fast. I am fortunate enough to have three good teammates and I can look at their throttle trace, steering trace, brake trace and get a good idea of what I need to do different or what I need to do different with the setup to enable me to do that.

Aric Almirola, driver of the No. 10 Smithfield Ford Fusion, fresh off his win last weekend at Talladega, met with media members ahead of the first practice session this weekend in Kansas with a spot in the third round of the NASCAR playoffs cemented.

Ryan Blaney, driver of the No. 12 Menards/Wrangler Riggs Workwear Ford, enters the final race of Round 2 of MENCS playoffs 22 points outside of the top-eight and a spot in Round 3. Blaney met with media members Friday morning ahead of the first practice session of the weekend.
