Landon Cassill will be making his 17th start at Texas Motor Speedway in Saturday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge Xfinity Series race at the 1.5-mile track.

This week, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to Fort Worth, Texas for the AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. It will be the 34th race of the season, eighth of the Chase and second of the Eliminator Round.

Bad boy and bad girl. It would seem NASCAR is an equal opportunity disciplinarian, as both Matt Kenseth and Danica Patrick got slapped for aggressive driving at Martinsville. In short, they purposely ran into people with bad intentions.

Roush Fenway Racing returns to the land of the Ewing and Barnes family this weekend as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) prepares to race under the Amarillo Sky this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway, a track that has seen a Roush Fenway Ford visit victory lane 18 times across NASCAR’s three major touring series.

Texas Tango...Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) marks the second-to-last 1.5-mile track remaining on the 2015 schedule. Justin Allgaier has made three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at the Ft. Worth, Texas track, with a best finish of 20th. In this year's NSCS spring race, Allgaier finished 39th after being involved in an accident.

Texas Motor Speedway will be a welcome site for Chase driver Martin Truex Jr., who is on the right side of the cutoff line with two races remaining before the final four drivers battle it out for the NASCAR Sprint Cup championship Nov. 22 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Annett, Pilot Flying J Team to Tackle Texas...Texas Motor Speedway, a 1.5-mile intermediate track located in Fort Worth, will host the 34th race of the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. Michael Annett and the No. 46 Pilot Flying J Chevrolet team scored a top-25 finish at Charlotte Motor Speedway, a track similar in size and shape to Texas, last month. A top-25 finish on Sunday will also mark Annett's third such feat in his last four races.

Denny Hamlin finished third in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway, overcoming a pair of pit road speeding penalties and early race spin to record his 11th top-five finish in 20 career starts at the flat, half-mile oval. Hamlin started 10th and battled a tight #11 FedEx Ground Toyota early in runs at the ‘paper clip.’ Following the first series of pit stops, Hamlin was nabbed for speeding in the pits and forced to start at the tail end of the line.

The AAA Texas 500 will serve as the final race at Texas Motor Speedway for four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon at Texas Motor Speedway. He has been a competitor in every Sprint Cup race here since the venue opened in 1997, but his strong ties to Texas Motor Speedway were firmly rooted even before stock cars circled the high-banked, 1.5-mile oval.
