As NASCAR’s elite Cup Series makes its highly anticipated return to historic North Wilkesboro Speedway this weekend, many of the competitors, including Harrison Burton and other members of the No. 21 Motorcraft/DEX Imaging team have never experienced a Cup race there.

The long-awaited return of one of NASCAR’s most historic venues is up next as the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) takes on North Wilkesboro Speedway for the annual NASCAR All-Star Race.

Gragson was not born yet when the last NASCAR Cup Series event took place at North Wilkesboro Speedway in 1996. This is also his first attempt of the NASCAR All-Star Open race as a rookie in the Cup Series.

AJ Allmendinger has competed in six NASCAR All-Star events with a best finish of seventh in the 2022 NASCAR All-Star Race with Kaulig Racing.

Almirola grew up watching his racing heroes compete at North Wilkesboro (N.C.) Speedway and dreamed of one-day taking laps himself on the iconic .625-mile oval.
