BRISTOL, Tenn. -- The first thing Ryan Preece did after he climbed out of his car in victory lane was grab the oversized novelty check he received for winning the first race of this year’s XFINITY Series Dash 4 Cash, which he promptly tossed to his crew standing behind his car.

We just didn’t have anything after about 40 laps. Racing Phenom Ty Majeski will make his first NASCAR Xfinity Series start of 2018 and his first career start at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend in Roush Fenway’s famed No. 60 Ford. As part of SunnyD’s Bristol Weekend takeover, the No. 60 Mustang will carry the majestic blue and orange colors that have proven a fan favorite over the past three seasons. Majeski has never raced at the .0533-mile high banked oval, but tested there a few weeks ago and has spent a great deal of time off track fully preparing himself for this weekend.

NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Tyler Reddick says he won’t be “waffling” around when it comes to “creaming” the competition for the Sparks Energy 300 at Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday, April 28. Well, he didn’t quite put it in those exact terms during a visit Thursday to Birmingham, but his actions while in the Magic City, at least told part of that story.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series head to Bristol Motor Speedway, while the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is off. Check out the tentative full schedule below, subject to change.

Majeski on Bristol: “We tested Bristol a few weeks ago and I thought it went really well.  Obviously, I’ve never been there before, but it was good to get some seat time at such a unique track.  Mike (Kelley) made some good adjustments throughout the weekend and I was really happy with the car at the end of the two-day test.  Bristol is such a fast track with high banks.  You can’t see the exit going through the center of the turn.  You can’t see where you are headed when you get on the gas, so that was something new to get used to.”

Reed on Bristol: “Bristol is the number one track that I need to get better at as a driver. Dover was another of those tracks for me, but we went there last year and got a top five in the first race and struggled a little bit in the second, but we know we made a lot of gains there last year. Bristol we just need to hit the reset button. As a driver when you are struggling at a place you need to clear your mind going into the weekend and not let your past runs dictate what you are going to do this year. I’m looking at it like a clean slate and starting fresh.”
