A suspension of two pit crew members for Richard Childress Racing's No. 3 Cup Series team and four Xfinity crew chiefs being fined for lug nut violations on their respective entries highlight this past weekend's NASCAR events at the Charlotte Roval.

The 21-year-old Mayer from Franklin, Wisconsin, led 13 of 72 over-scheduled laps and overtook Parker Kligerman during an overtime shootout to notch his third Xfinity victory of 2024 and race his way into the Playoff's Round of 8.

The three-time SuperCars champion from Auckland, New Zealand, notched the third Xfinity Series pole of his career and of the 2024 season with a pole-qualifying lap at 97.110 mph in 84.523 seconds.

The Playoffs continue this weekend as the NASCAR Cup Series competes on the Charlotte ROVAL on Sunday afternoon in the last race of the Round of 12.

The two-time ARCA Menards East champion from Johnston, Iowa, led five of 98 over-scheduled laps and muscled away from the field on the final lap of an overtime shootout to score his second Xfinity career victory and transfer into the Playoff's Round of 8.

ASCAR travels to Talladega Superspeedway this weekend with all the series set to compete on the 2.66-mile asphalt track.
