Hendrick Motorsports has signed NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points leader William Byron to a multi-year driver agreement. Byron, who has posted a rookie record five NCWTS victories this season, will race full-time in the NASCAR XFINITY Series for Hendrick Motorsports affiliate JR Motorsports beginning in 2017.

It’s back to short track racing for the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) this weekend, and Ray Black Jr. is ready to make his return to Bristol Motor Speedway. The driver of the No. 07 ScubaLife.com Chevrolet Camaro earned his first career NXS Top-20 finish at “The Last Great Colosseum” back in April of this year.

BRISTOL, Tenn. -- The trend of increased timing zones won't include this weekend's events at Thunder Valley. NASCAR will not increase the number of timing zones for this week's events at Bristol Motor Speedway. The number will remain at 14 instead of 18. NASCAR decided not to increase them because it's comfortable with the number of zones in place.

Dakoda will be making his sixth career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Bristol Motor Speedway to go along with two prior starts in the Camping World Truck Series. He has a best XFINITY Series finish of 23rd at the track known as "The World's Fastest Half Mile".

"Bristol is one of my favorite tracks. It's one of the few tracks where the driver can carry a car still. I have run well at Bristol since my first time there in the Pro Challenge Series when I was 15 years old. I have always had good speed in Late Models, K&N East and the truck race I did there."

Reed has competed at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) six times in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. In this event last year, Reed finished 25th after starting 17th. Earlier this season at BMS, Reed finished 21st after starting 17th.
