A familiar face will help kick off Rick Ware Racing’s (RWR) 25th year of competition later this month at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.

Officials from B.J. McLeod Motorsports (BJMM) announced today the signing of NASCAR veteran driver Chris Fontaine to pilot the second NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) team car in the upcoming PowerShares® QQQ 300 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.

Ryan Reed returns behind the wheel of the No. 16 Lilly Diabetes/American Diabetes Association Ford Mustang in 2016 for his third full-time season of NASCAR XFINITY Series competition. The 22-year-old Roush Fenway Racing driver from Bakersfield, Calif. captured his first career win in the 2015 season-opener at Daytona International Speedway and hopes to duplicate that success in 2016 with his sights ultimately set on winning a championship.

JR Motorsports (JRM) and Cessna Aircraft Company, a subsidiary of Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, announced today a new relationship making Cessna the official business jet choice of Dale Earnhardt Jr. As part of the agreement, JRM’s No. 88 Chevrolet will carry the Cessna brand as primary sponsor in six races during NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) competition in 2016 with drivers Alex Bowman and Cole Custer.

With funding in place, Morgan Shepherd is set to return to the high banks of Daytona for the PowerShares QQQ 300, the first race of the 2016 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. The event will mark Shepherd’s 97th race at the famed superspeedway.

GMS Racing announced today that the team would field a single-car entry in select NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) races throughout the 2016 season. Spencer Gallagher is slated to pilot the team’s No. 21 Chevrolet Camaro beginning at Phoenix International Raceway on Saturday, March 12.
